FREE REVIEW COPIES ARE AVAILABLE

Right now, I'm all about getting 2.0 out and adding all of the features you guys want. The more people that take review copies, the better. You have to give me honest feedback and suggestions though, don't be a dick and post a one liner saying "cool plugin dude".

If anyone has feature requests, suggestions, etc. please let me know.

Holy fuck if that isn't one of the ugliest websites I've ever seen. Cool plugin, dude.

Important suggestion: use WP Cron to import large files over a few hours. Anything over ~50,000 records will fail with the way it looks to be set up.

Louis,
I have been looking for something like this that works. The last one I tried was full of issues. I have a test site and a project ready to go.

I'll give you a good review. I'll PM you for a copy
-Thanks.

Two review copies sent out. Even if you don't want a review copy, if you have a feature request or suggestion for the plugin, tell me! If I incorporate it into the next version, I'll give you a free copy.

Any reviews on this? If not, and there's a review copy left, I'll give it a try and post back.

Sorry to HBZ and efeezy I had a review copy and was waiting on a datafeed update to do it.

Here is my review:

This thing works real well. It installed and fired on the first try and schedules posts well into the future. The randomness of the posts is really good.

I used a datafeed from Shareasale in the new format and added my own headers.

It displays the headers as they are imported across the top so you can tell they imported correctly.

The amount of fields that can be imported are really impressive. Including a field for dates if you want to hard code those dates into the datafeed. This could probably be used for special coupon codes or promotions with a datafeed that has those.

It seems to have no problems with larger datafeeds but warns against importing more than 5000 records at one time.

The absolute best thing it does is allow you to save a template and click to bring it back whenever you want. This fills in the title and post content from the format and is a real time saver when you are testing then finally filling a blog.

The only thing I think it could have added that would make it better are:

1) Tag Support for one of the fields that automatically adds tags from a combination of variables and text.

2) If the list of headers across the top included the {} brackets it would be easier to copy paste drop them into fields.

3) If the saved template remembered the category and other fields if they were modded.

4) If tags are added in the next version, if they are saved in the template as well.

Overall completely awesome if it had tag supports. I have the feeling it probably will in the next version. It seems well supported.

It might do tags already with the custom fields support it has but I am not smart enough how to do it.

Can it pull images from a CSV file via a custom field in WP?....and if so, how does that work?

T3 I did it like this in the post, after naming a spreadsheet column {image}:

Everything in {} brackets is a spreadsheet column name.

<a href = "/recomend/add.php?prodid={prodid}" rel="nofollow">
<img src="{image}" alt="{title} keyword"></a>
<br>
{description}
<br>
<H3>
${price}</H3>
<a href = "/recomend/add.php?prodid={prodid}" rel="nofollow"><H2>
Add {title} to Shopping Cart</a></H2>

I just released version 2: http://www.wickedfire.com/sell-buy-trade/77874-wp-csv-importer-2-0-now-available.html

Please use the v2 thread from now on.

It allows creation of WordPress pages in addition to posts, has full tag support, and saves all textual fields with the save template feature so you don't have to re-type your custom fields, post excerpts, and tags template every time.

Please use the v2 thread from now on. Anyone who got a review copy and would like v2, let me know.

Also, for those of you who took review copies (including via PM) and didn't post reviews, your names are going to be posted in the v2 thread in 24 hours if you don't have a review up by then. I hate to have to do this, but I see so many people taking free stuff here (not just from me) and then never posting the promised review.

For the 5+ review copies that went out, Drake was the ONLY one who posted the promised review. Thanks Drake.
