WP Plugin: Popular/Featured/Commented/Etc Posts?

I'm trying to find a decent sidebar widget/plugin that can display popular posts, featured posts, commented posts and other types of "dynamic recent posts" content for Wordpress. I've found a bunch but nothing that stands out as really being great.

Does anyone have a "go to" plugin like this that they can vouch for? Preferably one the author keeps up to date.

Assuming of course the template/theme he's using has a sidebar registered, or he knows how to put in a dynamic sidebar.

(Which isn't really all that hard since it just requires a modification to the functions.php and putting the code into the template where needed).

If it is already dynamic, you would goto the Design Tab, then click Widgets.
 
You're looking for a single plugin that does all of those things? There are individual plugins that will do each of those things.
 
I'm actually hoping to achieve a tabbed widget that does all-in-one... popular/featured/commented... stuff like that in different tabs on one widget. I'm sure some hackery would do the job, but would rather just download a plugin if someone else has done the legwork.

If you do a search on wordpress site you can find about 3 tabbed plugins.
