I had my first decent offer running over the last 4 months. It was doing pretty well for me 4-digit revenue. Then last month I got screwed and my affiliate company took back $2000 in commission because of "fraudulent sales". I haven't changed anything and now my EPC has been cut in 1/2 this month and I am taking a loss at the moment. The same keywords are driving traffic but are no longer converting.

I almost want to blame the networks tracking, but I don't want to point the blame at them just yet. This is probably not enough info to go by, but any help out there?

Have you looked at another network running the same or similar offer? If it's tracking that would probably tell you right there.

Possible that they were accidentally accepting duplicate lead submissions? Is this a likely scenario given the nature of the offer? Because them taking back $X from your commissions doesn't explain such a sharp drop in EPC unless they're now scrubbing your leads. Has your on-site performance changed?

It is not a lead generating offer. I haven't been able to turn any profit on lead submissions. This is a CPA - X percentage of sales. It is an exclusive offer from what I can tell. Tried to find it on any of my other networks and can't find it. Also tried Affspy but no luck. I emailed a rep from another ad company to see if they can get this offer but haven't heard back. I have a call setup with an account manager tomorrow. It is hard to get these things setup up when I am working 6pm-6am because of schedule conflicts. Thanks for the replies.

My first thought was that they were scrubbing/shaving. I am not sure the offer, or where it is targeted, but maybe they decided hey 90% of our fraud comes from Russia, so we won't accept anything from Russia from our affilaites. I would try to talk to your affiliate manager, and the company direct if you can, and find out what and why. If what I stated is correct, then simply don't target Russia. You probably are still doing the same amount of sales, but they just started denying a certain credential.

(NOTE: Russia is just an example)

My earnings per click are down still. I actually lost about $1k this month. The funny thing is that almost no conversions are being reported from Google even though I was sending double the traffic of msn + yahoo together. Even with my landing page having a very high CTR I can count the Google conversion per day on 1 hand. This sucks because it was the first and only offer I have ever got to convert. It' pretty discouraging. It seems that we take all the risk buying ads and we are at the advertisers mercy. I am sure that that 2k was nothing for a company of their size, but for me it is enough to put me out of business. Looks like I better hold on to my day job.
