WTF is up with FB CPC...sky high!!!

Why the fuck is facebook ad trying to charge me $1.90 for something im trying to target like 20k ppl overall....what the fuck is up with facebook giving me different CPC every time I change some targeting...even when i go back to the way it was, still gives me a different suggested bid every fucking time...


FUCK FACEBOOK!!....biggest pain in my ass
 


Yeah it's shitty but the fact is people are still willing to pay that much, so FB will continue to charge. Until everybody collectively stops bidding upon a certain amount, they'll keep being able to bend us all over.
 
Use CPC for testing a campaign i.e. you only pay for actually traffic to your LP / offer. If the CTR is lower than 0.100%, then either your ad sucks or no one you're targeting is interested in the offer at that time. If you start with CPM, you can burn your budget just figuring out that your CTR sucks.

Once you get a decent CTR ( > 0.100% ), switch over to CPM and the price of your traffic falls accordingly.
 
I'm guessing you have an older demorgraphic. Facebook goes depending on how many times an age group logs in. So if an 18 year old logs in 5 times in a day compared to a 40 year old who logs in once a day,the cost for you getting an impression and possibly a click from the 40uear old is more less likely..and then you have the people who are trying to compete with your bid price as well
 
agreed with comment # 2, it's supply and demand. I've tried three times with facebook and failed failed failed (debt relief traffic). I know you can target age/etc, but getting leads from that source is straight fucked. Hope you had better results though.
