Hey guys what is yahoo's avergae CTR on their search engine advertising. I am currently running promotions for few diet programs and I am only getting 3 clicks for 500 impression. The stuffed up thing is I have quality score of 2 out of 5. I am sending the customers directly to the merchants website. Some advice please.

Also I havent made any sale yet. cheers

for what position the first position? for what niche? your question is kind of hard to answer without more information.

I have the same problem with having a low CTR, mine usually less than 1%. I don't know if there is a such thing as an "average" CTR. To increase your CTR, your keywords have to relevant to your ads. One way to do this is to make small adgroups with relevant keywords and create a relevant ad, and do the same with the next set of keywords.

I have two adgroups running. One for healthy food which has quality score of 4 out 5 and 118 impression and zero clicks. Than I have another adgroup with keywords such as personal chef and quality score of 2 out of 5 and 500 impressions and 3 clicks.

Niche is diet
To be on first position I need around $1.00 bid.

msn converts the best, but doesn't have a lot of traffic. google has the most traffic and converts the same as yahoo, which is still pretty decent. thats a general rule though, its kinda situational based on your niche, etc.

i can get good ctr at yahoo. Sometimes between 5-15%. Its the same for me as google. Split test your ads
