Yahoo Answers - How to make Money?

in places like forums, social community and FAQ sites, the soft approach seems to work better for me.

i usually go with 2-3 sentences of content, before inserting a "by the way, i go to xyz-mortgage loans and they give good rates and service'

or one better might be:

'i used xyz.com last year and was happy with it'

and your next bot could go in with a 'yeah, i used them too, they're good for loans'

Use the trust you've gained by the good answer and don't look spammy. So a nice

or if you want to be a little more spammy--

Our company xyz corp handles these things as well. If you liked some more personal attention come leave you information and someone will get right back to you. Good Luck!

The subtle approach has worked for me also. I think big key is really answer there question, at times in depth answer. Then give a plugg for you site.

I just answered a question and suggested one of my domains
the domain is actually a .info landing page where everything clickable goes to the offer, and there are 3 - 4 sentences on the page, nothing else
would this be considered spam/abuse?

I find it to be a nice little traffic generator, as mentioned earlier in the thread. But like anything it's really good for specific niches. I guess your best bet is to look at the kind of people who hang out on Answers and work out some niches that will appeal to them.

it's pretty simple. I've gotten a ton of leads every time i spent an hour or two answering questions. The key would be having a ton of different niches because good questions every once in a while. In addition having a script to do it would help too.

This is pretty intriguing. If anyone's actually making money at this, hit me up. I think I'm going to use my free time over the next week or so to develop a web app to automate the whole thing. My goal is to be able to find lucrative questions as they appear, provide a list, find resources to answer and match an affiliate link in under 2 minutes. Willing to work with up to 2 people, but only if you've got some experience in doing this.

I'm not sure how busy my week will be as far as my regular development projects, but if it's too busy then I can use the weekend too. I'm itching to get on this.

An automated script for answering questions in Yahoo Answers and generating leads is totally insane!
Now, which einstein is going to hit upon something like that?

Yah guys, if you want to work with some people who have no clue how to program but want some $, use the 2 guys above me!!! Lazy fucks.

Someone forgot to take his meds...

I decided to try out yahoo answers by answering a few questions regarding myspace. Lots of traffic from those keywords so we'll see if I get traffic and/or backlinks. I'm not too optimistic, but we'll see what happens.

Ok I'm done

I maxed out 2 yahoo accounts answering tons of myspace related questions while plugging links to my sites.

The goal was to see if I could get traffic to justify the work involved should i decide to try to get a script programed.

40 answers latter and the logs show only a few uniques from yahoo answers. My advice is to not waste your time with yahoo answers. The supply of answers vastly exceeds the quantity of people actually reading them.

Also yahoo caps the numbers of answers you can make per day.

You would have to have a script running to continuously answer questions.

I would have to say you are ont very good at automation and thinking outside the box. Seriously... answering myspace questions????

Myspace gets more traffic than any other niche. I was just testing to see if I get any traffic, let alone money. 30 answers and maybe 3 hits doesn't seem worth it even if you can automate it.

I dunno dude... I've spent a few hours total building up one "honest" account. I even wasted some time answering non-related questions. I have a shitload of points now for that account... so in the long-run when i have enough sites it should be pretty damn easy to toss up a lot of an answers in an hour and see what happens. When i do post on YA i have a pretty good success rate of sign-ups (even though they are shitty payouts)

Hmm, I don't really see how you could look at it as a waste a time. A few unique visitors is a few unique visitors.. If one of those unique visitors turns into a lead, or sale, wasn't it worth it?

There's really not many other "free" ways as easy as yahoo questions to get a small amount of traffic, by typing up a small reputable paragraph and throwing in a link.. Whenever I'm bored I tend to answer questions, to send a bit of traffic to my myspace resource site, or answer a few ringtone questions. Other then that, it's just me being bored for a short amount of time. Some is better then none, eh?

Yea some is better than none but when you consider that is it only a trickle and that you have to keep posting new questions it isn't worth it. If it were mortgage leads maybe.

ding ding ding
wow... i think we all just witnessed a little miniature light bulb being turned on inside that very dull, cavernous region known as dowtrust's cranium.
