Good, should be a nice YHOO bounce- and as a shareholder since '96 this is certainly good for the yearly outlook.
I'm meeting with a bunch of higher-ups in Microsoft's search division tomorrow, so this should be an interesting topic, for sure. I hope some info is released before the meeting (or that they're authorized to speak about details) so that they'll actually have something to talk about.
I wonder what's going to happen to Yahoo's search and content partners for YSM, seeing how much quality comes out of those, compared to Microsoft's partner/content quality.

More advertisers forced to focus on Yahoo/Bing inventory really. It's going to take them a little while to integrate this probably.

By themselfs Yahoo and Microsoft aren't even close to being a serious competitor to google. Together they might actually be big enough to have some say in the Industry and some competiton won't hurt, maybe google will stop being a dick to all the people that are trying to toss money at them.

* Advertisers will only need to create campaigns 2x vs. 3x (Google, Yahoo, Bing)
* Those with high natural search rankings on Bing will thrive while those with high natural search rankings on Yahoo will suffer.
* Will be interesting to see how editorial policies are affected (i.e. adult, etc.)
oh well. guess the stock market didn't find the deal too interesting for YHOO from a $ standpoint!
Sure but may be not so easy to advertise on. My campaign was rejected because they don't accept email submits, offer that claim to be free but aren't. They are not lenient towards rebills either. Where as on Yahoo, I'm banking and so are other affiliates. No complaints.
