Your Landing Page Sucks

Thanks for the links, Frank and justo.
Every post on Unbounce is fucking golden!

Alright, quick question for you guys.
I just read on searchengineguide.com that I should be optimizing my homepage for a single keyword, and for more keywords after that I should create a landing page.

So say I have a list of 25 keywords in a high competitive niche, do I make a different landing page for each? Each landing page having a very specific call to action to send them to my product?

eg. I'd have a landing page for "blue widgets", "red widgets", "bullshit widgets", etc

Thanks...

think of it like an online flower shop if you will.

your homepage will be optimized for "buy flowers online" or something similar.
your sub pages (lps) would be "wedding flowers online", "valentines day flowers", etc ...

use title/meta/h1 tags to do on page optimization, most importantly, put the kws you want to target in your title tag for each page/product

Thanks for sharing the link! I learnt some unexpected things in the analysis of those landing pages.

Really not sure about the Oprah example though, really doesn't make sense to have her all the way down the bottom beneath the fold - especially when she's such a celeb, may have been better to place her up the top - the cameraplus example was great though!

Is anybody actually using unbounce service for LP creating and split testing?
I'd like to give them a try. Interesting if people already have an experience with them
