Just finished watching the new Zodiac movie, I thought it was pretty good. I always like to read up on the history of "based on a true story" style movies after I watch them and so I checked out the wikipedia page for the zodiac killer ( Zodiac Killer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). Low and behold the dude who was implied as the killer in the movie was ruled out due to DNA testing (according to wikipedia anyway).

DNA testing seems to have conclusively ruled out their lead suspect, Arthur Leigh Allen

Although I thought the movie was good that kind of ruined it for me...

yeah. I was disappointed too. Same thing happened with the great debaters. They went against Harvard in the movie, but in actual life it was USC. Lame

but when Arthur Leigh Allen died all the Zodiac killings also stopped -- just a strange coincidence? …also think of this, how well were samples of DNA collected over 40 years ago?

Regardless, it was a good suspense and had the Bay Area terrified to go out at night for long period of time.
