Pretty cool concept using census data to break down where different ethnicities live. Funniest part (or saddest) is you can clearly see where 8 Mile is on the Detroit Map

What is the story with that bubble of red dots called Hamtramck in Detroit? It looks out of place on the map.

Hamtramck is a separate city completely surrounded on all sides by Detroit. It was almost completely Polish for the longest time, then over the last 25 years a lot of the old Poles moved out to the suburbs and Eastern Europeans, Albanians, Russians etc have moved in, along with a lot of Pakistanis and Yemenis (not sure how they're represented on the map though). It's actually a really cool place to hang out with great food and bars, but the cops are dicks so I generally just stick to midtown, downtown or Mexican Village.
