Why? Because I know my shit works. I've heard of those "SEO competitions" where people go after a non-existant keyword, and whoever ranks the highest, wins. Only with their mininet/package/whatever.

I'd be willing to put my money where my mouth is. Tired of seeing "oh, mininets don't work" or "My shit is the greatest". Fuck it, Let's do it.

So, like I said, I think my mininet is the shit. Point blank. I have no clue about others, but i'm talking about results.

So, If a mod would help me get this set up, I'd be willing to put up a $200 entry fee, of course with rules outlined. New domain, keyword NOT in the domain, ,word press blog with all the same plugins, same meta tags, same hosting, no links except from their "package", "mininet", MEGANET, whatever you want to call it.

Winner, of course after a mod analyzes the backlinks to make sure its strictly on their given report, takes home a huge pot. Even a pot for second.

I want some feedback guys. Tell me if I'm way offline, too cocky (people who know me wouldnt say that), or if everyone thinks it's a good idea.

So like I said, fuck it, I'm in. The BEST of WF B/S/T Season 1.

Definitely a sweet idea. To be fair though, you have definitely got some of the most intricate offerings here and already have an advantage if this competition only allows "current" offers. For example, my package would admittedly lose out to yours in this competition - but mine isn't meant to beat what you've got, it's meant to be a great service at a great price. IMO it's kind of a bullshit move to go and launch a service that, by all means, is more expansive and complex than everything else being offered and then after a *week or so* create a competition for all similar services when you already know you've got the winning hand.

Now, what I think would be more fair is to create some rules limiting which properties and what quantity can be used, and then have everyone compete according to that. Ideally this should be more like a crowd sourced split test with a winner than a competition of current services. If we can work out something like that, I am definitely down.

*EDIT: My bad, a month later.*

It's an interesting idea, but what might compel other vendors to participate (webetricky aside)? If your package outdoes other vendors' packages, those vendors will lose more than just the contest, even with different prices. That's a pretty big risk.

Awhile back, didn't someone try to do this with content providers? Did that contest even happen, or did it die?

You got a point, but i'm not talking about using my level 4 package, I'm speak of everyone getting their equilivant of my level 2 package (40 properties). Of course, rules would be in place. Honestly, I don't think it's bullshit that I am offering a competition that involves my package - and it hasn't been "a week or so", and frankly, that really doesn't matter. I've been doing this package for my own sites for a while, i've done timeless research on my package, and I'm proud of my package.

No one said you had to be a part of this - i'm not trying to go after the "Get 50 angela and paul links for $10" type of providers, I'm talking about the ballers, the more expensive package.

I haven't heard of your package, but I'll take a look at it. Basically, I'm talking about packages equivalent to $300.00.

Sorry if I sounded harsh, but I'm looking to challenge the game changers, the guaranteed SERP increasers, etc.

Isn't that the point? Who want's to pay $300, and not get ANY results? I'm sure everyone has tested their package at some point, or else they can't verify the price point they choose.

I'm putting my package on the line. To me, it's about reputation, not about getting a ton of clients.

On further note, if we had like 10 competitors, even the top 3-5 would get plenty of business. Many of us rely on reviews, why not rely on a WF competition?

**EDIT** And the reason why I started this thread is because I read from a new provider, who shall remain nameless, that mininets don't work. According to my months of research, they do, and I want to prove it.

Im down. And I dont sell shit in B/S/T/ No desire... I'd open it up to any seo's.
Only interested if we get say 10 people plus though at $200-$300 entry. Mod can handle the details.
I know you only want BST guys...and sure its a great marketing angle..but many arent complete seo's..
most just do piece work for seo's...

Why don't you not worry about competing against somebody here and target a legitimately competitive keyword just to throw the established players off and establish your game? I couldn't care less whether you or Mongo487 can hit "South Carolina vajayjay infections" first, if I don't care about the phrase, I don't care about you.

I've been drinking.

I agree, this rah-rah type of bravado has already succeeded in making me curious about onthewayup's package. Great marketing, chap! Bravo!

Seeing as I've already bought the package in question, I'd love to see how it compares to others.

Unfortunately i can't really monitor performance of individual packages because im buying tons of crap from the b/s/t section

Great idea, difficult a fuck to moderate.
I mean whats stopping me adding thousands of extra links into the package (no i dont sell one, but i have my own setups so could in theory) via 301?

Obviously there would be a ton of details that still need to be discussed, worked out...

I dont know what your package is, what it does, or what you wouldnt allow us to us........and I havent even sold shit in the B/S/T section before.

But if you don't let that stop you, and if we found an agreeable way to set this up, I can practically guarantee our network, reach, and backlinking sources would take this competition in a cakewalk.

The problem with this is that you, the provider, know that this order will be a part of the contest. Since you want to win the contest, you will give this order a bit more extra love. I'm not saying your service is bad or anything, but it's understandable that someone participating in this contest might throw in a few extra bells and whistles, that someone just randomly ordering might not get.

There really needs to be an independent "investigation" done anonymously to make a fair comparison.

I think the best way to do this would be to create 2 new sites in a pre-determined niche. Do not use any niche keywords in the domain name. Each service provider tries to rank one of the domains. Whoever ranks higher, wins. Competitor domains will not be disclosed to each other. Bonus points given to any web properties that also rank for the targeted terms.

As far as niche to target, I think the most interesting would be to pick a type of business in a fairly competitive area. Maybe like "denver defense attorneys" or something like that.

Magic Hat,

I do everybody's package the same way. If I have a client who paid me for a lower package, they get the SAME EXACT treatment as to someone who ordered a level 4 package. Just because someone doesn't have a huge budget, doesn't mean that they will get treated different. Period.

As far as picking a more competitive niche and not a made up keyword, I would be down with that as well.

Not asking for the run-of-the-mill seo guys, i'm targeting people in the BST area.
