Well I just realized that I haven't made a post here in about 8 months or so, actually I've probably only visited you guys twice in that time but I figured I'd spend a little bit of time today and say how's it going, what's up and hope you didn't miss the Startup School (Y-Combinator Talks) a few days ago on Justin.tv

If you want to know some good stuff about actual business and hear from the investors and founders of some some big companies then make sure you watch this stuff. I found it to be quite entertaining.

Justin.tv - Startup School - Videos

Now we'll your distracted watching this stuff I'm off to steal all of your profits.

Well not really since I've been lured into reading the http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/90170-gaming-facebook-whole-new-level-2.html thread while someone else steals my profits.

I haven't done anything even remotely close to video or affiliate marketing or anything online for that matter in the last four months or so, kept up on some news and that's about it.

Late last year and into early this year pretty much started to fail and fail hard and after that went into a downward spiral for a few months where everything I did was a failure (In business and personal life).

Then I sold off all my websites making me money to pay bills during those failures and got pissed off and said "Fuck this stupid ass bullshit, I fucking quit" and haven't done any work on anything for at least 4 months now.

But then strangely enough one morning I work up and the passion I once had in my early day's of working online seemed to be re-kindling so now I'm back starting from scratch with no websites and no online income.

But for some god forsaken unknown reason I'm actually really excited to be starting over, sure it'll take time and long hours to rebuild but at least this time around I know exactly how to execute on my idea's, I know where, why and how I failed before and I'm pretty confident things will go smoother this time around.

P.S. Was not even being sarcastic in this post, it is actually all true.

That's pretty brutally honest dude. I wish the best of luck to you. You responded to one of my first questions here and were very cool about it. #nohomo

Welcome back! I'd wish you good luck, but luck favors hard work and it sounds like you got that covered! :D

haha yeah a good hard work ethic is definitely something that is going to help me succeed once again....Looking forward to killing myself in those 16 hour sleepless nights and days again (With the occasional refreshment break of course) :)

Good video series. The concepts described in the video are obvious, but most people are oblivious to them. Pain and suffering lead to self-improvement, which leads to fulfillment of your potential, which ultimately leads to true happiness. Most in our culture don't believe in this kind of story anymore except as a trope of fiction.

I have had the greatest difficulty throughout my life attempting to communicate anything about my mindset or life goals to these sorts of "unbelievers." They superficially respect those sorts of ideals in a hypothetical sense, but ultimately have no faith in the process of self-improvement or any individual attempting to set out upon it. In fact, "self-improvement" is almost synonymous with reading stupid little self-help books and popping pills nowadays. Pitiful.

People respect successful entrepreneurs-- but ones who are just beginning are seen by many people as nothing more than frivolous gamblers. I knew a lot of people who saw me that way when I told them that I wasn't going to be following the typical college -> career pathway through life. Those who have persisted and succeeded at any challenging goal where others have failed know that their success had nothing to do with statistics (except for the kind they use as a tool).
