and i was like ... "WTF"

... then i stopped and wondered ... I wonder what that smells like ...

Those are warts, the guy is living with it.. better than I could do.. His family helps him out, feeds him, wipes his butt ect...

What is the context? It's due to poverty? If it does, that's very sad but situation won't change I fear...

Yes, this condition is the direct result of poverty. If you don't have moniez, you become a fucking tree.

He was offered experimental treatment in Australia I believe which he initially accepted but later refused and just got the things cut of at a local hospital but they just grew back shortly after.

I saw his documentary story in discovery channel. He's all well now, and all the warts are almost non existant. However, some of the nerves in his hands were damaged during the operation which lead to the loss of sensation in his hands. But his hands still look peculiar though compared to normal hands.

He had surgery and is recovering. Even he has come back home. Fortunately him because there are someone bear the cost of operations.

I saw about his story on Discovery channel. He looked pretty bad before the surgery. You couldn't even see his face because the warts were all over his face. Like the doc from the documentary said, its a one in a billion chance to get such rare disease..
