just had this idea, and want to see if its against terms w/ CC companies. It seems like it would be...

heres the situation. lets say a trip to hawaii costs 100k points

I own Bizness LLC , then i spend 5k at my own business w/ my personal card .. i pay card off .. repeat +5k points

this seems like its gotta be in violation of something, my brain isn't functioning right now tho .. can this be done?

That wouldn't work, because you would then have your cash trapped in your company and would end up paying tax on it to get it back as income. Unless it was looked upon as a personal loan to the company.

Disclaimer: Always seek the advice of a lawyer before you do anything. PERIOD!

Not even getting into taxes that you will have to pay. Say you spend 100k 1 point = $1

100k * 2.x / transaction

You spend $2xxx

You end up spending more money than just buying the ticket outright. Hurrrr durrrrrr

You can order $250 boxes of $1 coins from the US mint with free shipping, then take them to the bank after they arrive.

I saw a huge thread about it on another forum, I think it was flyertalk.

There is a 4-box $1 coin limit for every 10-day period on any and all $1 coin orders.

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 4 characters.

lol. People on Slickdeals were spazzing out over this to get 'free' points on their credit cards. The effort some people will go through is ridiculous.

I cringe everytime I see that discover card cash back rewards commercial where the young guy keeps sneaking up on his friend everytime he goes to buy something and swipes his card to pay for it so he gets the cash back bonus on his card. His friend keeps getting pissed that he doesn't get to pay and collect the reward points. At first I lol'd at the stupidity then I thought about how many people fall for it and got all serious...like a badger

There was a dude on there that claimed he bought $800,000 worth of coins over the course of a year (Before the limit was enacted.) Must have been this guys full time job. lol.
