Attn: Dog owners

I ended up chatting with him a bit early this morning, he's a pretty legit dude. Had to deal with a hysterical wife/girlfriend so I can understand his desire to make something happen, handle the situation. Wickedfire probably isnt the best place to post an issue like this, but ah well, you live and you learn.
 


Hey thanks for this thread man, I just got back from my vet, I shot him in the face, just to make sure he doesn't kill my dog in the future.

First of all let me congratulate you for getting caught posting replies to yourself. Very classy thing to do...

Second, you said you spent thousands on tests, so it sounds like they already did everything they could anyway. Had you of stayed at the vet your pet probably would have died in a vet's office, and NOT in the comfort of a familiar place, your home. So in that sense maybe your pet was better off.

And to want to sue, man I hate to say but the reasons you gave were just petty and frivolous. You can't exactly sue someone because of spite, and you have no grounds to stand on otherwise.

Move on, get another pet. I mean jesus christ it's only a fricken animal. :D

Hey hey hey now... a pet is not just a fricken animal. Most of us with pets treat them and think of them as a family member.

I don't know the exact circumstances here, but in general, vets give a shit about animals and want to do the right thing. They're fallible, and they can't win them all when it comes to the decisions they have to make.

If it was gross negligence, I can understand the desire to sue and be really pissed at this guy, but it's a tough thing to prove (based on the facts given so far).
 
Believe me I totally understand, as I have pets of my own that I love and treat as I would anybody else. But I do not place them on the same level as a human life. Right now my family is taking care of an old, diabetic cat with FIV (Feline AIDS) that can barely walk, and I would think a human in that equal of a state would be in a hospital bed.
