Its a secret, but I hear someone is about to launch The "Elitist" Retreat shortly, you didn't hear it from me.
 
sure the knowledge may be great...

but it's no different than you can get on your own

spend that money instead into testing shit yourself
 
You better hope that chrislingle doesn't see this thread, he will be pissed that you are bagging on his favorite conference.
 
out of respect for a member of this forum that organizes that thing I will refrain from comment and remind all of you that because we have members here that are involved with the conference - continuing to bash it could be considered harassment and is against the rules of WF!

It's only harassment if you bash a person who is a member here directly and they find it offensive or over the top. Bashing a bisexual conference doesn't fall under those rules. You pussy.

Yeah, it's pretty retarded. Not at all different from posting on a forum such as this one and getting feedback. Waste of money, IMO.

Ok, so I was there at the last Elite Retreat in San Antonio and here's my assessment:

It IS pricey, but that being said, it was one of the best conferences I have ever been to. The presenters were excellent, knowledgeable and "no nonsense" when it came to explaining what was up.

The conference is designed to give each attendee one-on-one time with each presenter to talk about their personal projects.

There are no sales pitches.

The networking aspect is great because you get to talk with all the other attendees about their projects/techniques/ideas.

It's a very intense two days. The whole group was together from 9am-6pm and then we all went out to dinner/drinking from 7pm on. Both days!

We got a voucher for a one hour consultation with each presenter AFTER the conference.

The presenters will discuss pretty much anything you have questions about within their span of knowledge and if they don't know, they know somebody who does. Again networking.

Chrislingle's finance DOES rock. She did a great job of organizing the whole thing and is amusing as HELL to boot.

All the presenters are cool people in general to talk with/hang out with.

I won't be at the on in San Fran but I will be going to the Orlando one only because I can drive there.
