For bulk domain registrations Godaddy is great. Regarding what you said, yess such things can be annoying but if they are mentioned in the TOS, its nothing you can do.
namecheap and name keep constantly coming up with good reviews. Used namecheap excellent service, yet to use use name yet. Godaddy Ok, but I know a few people have had problems.
Moniker for sure. GoDaddy sucks plus Moniker helped me out big time one time when someone tried to steal a site I had sold for 11K. Person tried duping me and Moniker would not transfer the domain until it was fixed.
I voted for eNom for two reasons.
1. It's the registrar for Hostgator and I like to keep everything under one roof.
2. I have a reseller account with both eNom & Hostgator.
