Fact or Myth: Xrumer Links Pointed to your site - Case Study

I read the whole thread and there's no mention of me or dchuk. ;)

Also dupe content penalty wat? I just submitted 4 unique articles off a freshly indexed site to ezine and went from page five to high page two.

Your own freshly indexed site or a competitor's Grindstone?

Mine. Been regged about 6 weeks, wordpress on it for about a month, indexed for about 2 weeks before I pushed out the dupe content to ezine.

Sorry I bought the HOTH into this, we just had a tense exchange on the other thread about it, and it was fresh.. It's bad etiquette to pull discussions across threads, so I apolagise for that.

This case study is interesting though, so credit where credit is due.

I would never trust Grindstone, he's a shifty mountain man who comes up with way too many "holy fucking shit that's genius" seo ideas for any healthy person to consume daily.

I'm all fired up about the Packers win still, is this officially epeen-fest 2011 or what?

also, testing a theory on a single site proves absolutely nothing. this needs to be done over at least 5-10+ sites to actually gather objective data. science 101, always have a control

Hmmm, thats odd - i clicked to turn it off. How about you try it for yourself, then call yourself a troll. The site is rubyprints - you tell me where its at.

I think the only thing this thread has proven is that you know absolutely fuck all about SEO or how it affects rankings. Your test isnt a test. There are absolutely hundreds of other factors to consider when making such claims. The most important one being domain age/authority.

You should should stick to ripping off your customers with shitty link building packages that have a few months longevity before the links dissapear or get deindexed.

Subscribed.... I think this is going to work with no issues (based on my own experiences) but keen to see what the results are.

Here we go again  I think i'll just ignore you this time, especially after you come back to me after 9 months requesting a $20 refund and when I offered, you didn't want it.

So I politely tell you GTFO if you don't care about the case study, that goes for anyone else who doesn't care about this case study. I'm not sure why you guys come into a thread and post bullshit if you're not interested in it. Kindly skip this thread if you:

A: can't understand what I'm actually testing
B: have nothing logical to add to it
C: Have a dick up your ass

EDIT: I don't even feel like starting shit right now, it's too early in the morning.

I think both sides have a point, one site is not enough (especially since you've revealed the site and KW) - but at the same time I don't see any of the people bitching and moaning publicly releasing any of the scientificly sound research they do either.

If you're not interested, just fuck off already.

This has become the shittiest case study ever.GAY
Who wants to read through all the personal bullshit babbeling just to find here and there some note on the ranking changes. Seriously guys, get a life.

Firstly no refund was requested.

Secondly the purpose of my posts in your sales thread was to highlight the fact that you had provided a similar service on BHW and it went tits up when one of the cogs of your link building project fell apart.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, this dickwad outsourced the blog posting of part of his link building package to another member and within afew months all the blosg had been deindexed and banned by google for duplicate content penalties. So I felt it was more than apt for people to know that.

With regards to this thread, its clear as SEO expert you have about as much clue as the people you outsource your shitty mini nets to.

Just because you blast a fuck load of xrumer spam at one domain and your domain doesnt get penalised you havent proven anything. It has different results for everybody. Sucess is based on a number of factors and people who are really good at using Xrumer will laugh and shit in your face with this test as it proves nothing.

Cool thread. I'm guessing if/when you get penalized it's more due to only using 1 anchor than getting a shit ton of links. 20k links with no constant velocity for one KW and nothing else is just asking for trouble, but maybe you'll prove me wrong.

Are you planning to just let the site sit after that one blast?

I just got another idea though: What happens when you point 100s of duplicate content articles/web2.0s at your competition? Is it really gonna get them deindexed? I kinda doubt it. Maybe it's worth testing on the trashbags niche or something.

It shoudn't because that would mean if you have say an article on Eza that get's mass syndicated with a link to your site it would penalize you, don't see Google doing that either logically or in practice.

Only problem would be if the dup content was from a page on your own site. One of the copies might end up with more authority than your own page depending on the sites it gets distributed to.

Have heard plenty of people jacking other sites content and ranking above them doing that.

But just taking an article from another source and linking back to yours shouldnt cause a problem. Only thing is a lot of those copies might get indexed and then deindexed fairly quickly so your backlink profile might look volatile.

Excellent response, very proud of you.

BTW, Andly is well respected on this board - the person that you're talking about as far as the blog posts. Yea, his network went down a while back, and he fixed it. Life goes on, and just checked - yes, you didn't lose any rankings due to his network going down. So what are you complaining over if you didn't want a refund? nothing.

Now that you've had your say, and that everyone has had their say, i'll just stop this case study. It seems like no one gives a real shit about the results, and too many people are sticky their noses in this thread just to state something negative, and they aren't bringing anything valuable to the thread.

If you're interested on how this went, or if you want to stay updated, just PM me.

I have a better idea for ya. Why don't you keep doing the case study, but quietly, then when you have your results post them here all at once. Someone else did that very recently and it worked out really well.

I've got some clients who have used onthewayup's services and shared the results with me, what he does definitely works really well in some niches.

On topic, I know hitting new sites directly with xrumer works, if you do it smartly. Now plz kill thread. ;)
