There are 5 pirates. Sorted based on juniority.

So, Ann, Bob, Cindy, Daphne, and Ethan.

The 5 pirates have 100 gold coins.

They want to divide the coins using the following rule.

The most senior Ethan propose a division. Then all pirates vote whether to agree or not. If 50% or more agree, the division stand. If not, Ethan got killed and replaced by Daphne and so on.

You're Ethan. How do you propose?

Kill 2 of the pirates.

Out of the three remaining, the other two pirates get 34 and you get 32.

If they kill you, then Daphne will propose killing one pirate (making it so only 3 pirates remain) and they will most likely split it 33/33/34.

This way your option is strictly better than Daphne's (logical) alternative. The two pirates who you proposed wouldn't get killed would vote for you giving you over 50%.

Actually, if Cindy and Daphne are your cousins, you could log into Wickedfire and sell them to other WF members. :D
 
Ann gets 1, Cindy gets 1 and Ethan keeps 98

It is totally logical if you work it out with the assumption that they all know that they are all logical and can work out each possible outcome of a vote down to the end (i.e. when there are only 2 left then bob would obviously keep all the money himself as he has 50% of the vote, leaving Ann with nothing, so logically 1 is better than nothing and so on)
 
NIckster you're correct. The first time I did it I thought I got only 96. What's your IQ nickster?
 
Only 135 from last Mensa test. I'll retake that IQ tests again. Is this a coincidence that those that can answer this are the one with higher IQ? Is this a coincidence that the better programmers are the one with high IQ? Is this a coincidence that the one more succesful are often of high IQ? Is this a coincidence that the one with common sense, the one you can reason with, the one that make sense all have high IQ?

IQ is the best measure of common sense.

I mean even before Nickster told his IQ I sort of knew, he must have had a high one assuming he did figure this out himself. There is something about IQ isn't it?

For those who think it's unintuitive that the one that write the proposal got 98 even though the rest can vote can only look at this:

So we get rid a tyrant in afgan then what? The next one is just the same. That's why most people are happy with their 1 gold and let the tyrant control, own and have the rest. Buying votes can be very cheap if you understand what works for people. Something that libertarians never learn.

Of course it's kind of silly to blame Ethan, the first pirate, for every other pirate know they're exactly just like him and will behave in exactly the same way.

Another intuitive way to see it is to see that if Ethan is death, then Daphne will distribute 0,1,0,99 because he's just like Ethan. Hence Ann and Cindy will be better of if Ethan live. If Daphne died, Cindy will distribute 1,0,99. If Cindy died, Bob will do 0,100. The last one should be quite intuitive.

If you're Ethan, wouldn't you get killed first? Split it up 25/25/25/25/0 (0 for you), otherwise you die.

Of course not all low IQ people are like that. Here is a catch, we don't have perfect knowledge. Your visible traits are your flag. We judge people based on their flags. We don't know what's beyond that.

So yea, I really can't blame people that hate or love others based on skin color, religion, IQ, opinion, or anything. Just stay out of problem by staying away from those with bad flags and hang out with those with better flags.

My idea is right or wrong, unREASONable people are best avoided. The Armenian didn't have that choice. The Jews didn't have that choice. We do. Under capitalism we should stay away from unREASONable people.

Also I think all unjustly oppressed people should form their own country separate from the rest. Let's see whether they prosper or not after they leave. Chance is they do and all the bigot can just live in their own hell hole.
