Popped my cherry. Got my first C&D

the c&&d sounds like a blackhat tactic, id verify the soyrce of that, make sure its not bogus, boaters exam is a pretty generic term, and shouldn't be trademarkable

I got a couple from Fox last year. I wrote a letter back to their attorney for fun, assuming there's really nothing I could do against their legal empire. Their response to about 12 questions I asked was "If you don't take it down within 2 days, we'll take action, please confirm when the site has been taken down."

Cool.

I remember when my C&D cherry got popped.

I owned a slew of domain typos for eharmony.com, they got mad. I deleted the domains and let them know. When they found out they had to wait for the domains to officially drop (70 days or something?) before they could reg them, I lol'd and they went away.

I also made bank with hostgator typo domains, but I deleted those willingly for fear of another C&D.

And the funniest thing is when I registered 20-some godaddy typos, right on godaddy. I put them in a folder called "Godaddy typos" hahaha...good times.

I've since moved on from the typo squatting days though.

My hubby got one from the Rod Sox for SuckTheRedFox.com. He put it up as a joke for one of his friends that was a huge RS fan and started making shirts with the a logo that had a pair of red socks in a nuclear cloud. We could have fought it and probably won, but really it was not worth it since it was only a hobby. It's amazing that it even showed up on their radar. LOL.
