With all of the recent additions and changes that WickedFire has been going through in the last week and a half, we've had lots of positive feedback on our new, or rather original direction. With this new direction comes new growth opportunities and a need for more staff. Instead of just adding more Moderators, we've decided to add people called Guides.
A Guide is not a Moderator, so let's just get that out of the way first. All Guides will have access to our areas closed off or made available for invitation only areas such as the member loyalty section.
A Guide is more of a mentor or leader in their respective niche in which they may either be an expert in the field or damn close to it. They are respected to some degree either in our community or within our industry. They may also be members here who want to help in making a change here, and by doing so leading the way and helping out other members in their quest to accomplish their goals and provide solid, no bullshit answers to whatever they seek.
Guides are not paid, but volunteer their extra time to dedicate themselves and their knowledge to bettering the community of WickedFire. They must know and stick to all of the rules, and do not hold the same powers that mods hold. They report to the mods and will have their own private staff area in which they can share new ideas and tips with the Admins and Mods about how to better themselves and their respective sections.
There are only 2-4 positions per topic needed, so send us your application quickly for a first come first serve basis.
We are looking to hire Guides in the following areas:
Blogging (filled)
SEM/PPC Marketing (filled)
SEO (filled)
BH SEO (filled)
Affiliate Marketing (filled)
Lead Generation
PPC Arbitrage
Newbie Support (filled)
Design/Dev (filled)
Hosting (filled)
Programming/Tech/Security
Mailing
General Business (filled)
If you feel that you can dedicate some time from your schedule to help out in the community and assist other members but also provide your fair share of information and help by creating quality threads, articles, and posts here, you will be rewarded and much appreciated as well. We don't want gurus or experts, we want social, friendly, normal people who want to help the WickedFire community to become everything it was originally supposed to be and more.
Guides will have badges on under their usernames/avatars, but will not have Moderator powers (so if that's why you are applying, don't bother). Under a new staff rule, if Guides are especially good at what they do, they will be asked to become Moderators for that respective section/topic, but we will no longer be accepting Moderator applications without going through the Guide process first.
We're looking for the dedicated, smart, personable member, even if you have no posts and are just a lurker, apply. We are basing our Guides who will be hired on how well they do during the interviewing process, not how many posts they have or how long they've been a member here for.
To apply to this exciting new staff area, send a brief paragraph or two on the topic you want to be a Guide for and why, any sites/credentials/referrals, and your contact information (AIM and Email). An admin or moderator will get back to you as soon as possible with either a list of questions or an IM on AIM for an immediate interview.
Spots have already begun to fill up from the all-star invitation only team, so get us your application, and show us you care and want to make a difference.
Please direct all applications to guide@wickedfire.com - Please make the subject "WickedFire Guide".
Thanks!
Jon
