US affiliates are screwed

The FTC can kiss my ass, casino, acai, farticles, its all good here, offshore baby! ;)

Ill run your shit through my accounts if you want for a percentage :D
Here's an idea... how about the network takes responsibility and doesn't pay you for promoting using deceptive means! Novel idea?

If this was the case then there would only be Indian and Chinese affiliates. And every advertiser and cpa would be based overseas. At the end of the day advertisers that have a long term business don't wanna deal with shady affiliates just to get a knock on the door by some government agency. Trust me you dont want to work with advertisers that allow shady shit cause guess what bigger chance they wont pay you at the end of the day.(refer: certain cpa networks on paying) Work with legit advertisers, be open with them on what your doing and run long term. If you are a true marketer then you should be able to adapt.

and you are not shady, cause you are in the US, right ?

Maybe, but more like "they should work with legit people, legit = people who potentially can be punished for their actions, cause they are still do shit when they have a chance just like Chinese, Indians, everyone else, biggest example - we, US people" lol

You're preaching to the choir, but you're wrong about this last part. All else being equal, I guarantee that I could out-convert you if I could use a non-compliant lander and you had to use a compliant lander. Period. I would bet my life savings on it.

Of course you could, if you could claim WHATEVER you wanted then yeah, you could out convert me. But with testing and some time a good marketer can come up with something that can perform pretty damn closely, but thats a whole nother discussion based on investment and chance of return and how much your willing to test/longevity of the campaign and thats kinda off topic, but if you wanna STS in PM or AIM about it, I'd be happy to.

He's clearly international. He'll take a 1 week loss if he is on weeklies. If he's been live for 1 week+ he's into profit. Regardless the international guys are still winning unless the FTC goes after the ad networks and ALL of the networks involved with the rebills.

The FTC continues to go after the wrong co's in the mix... with the oprah lawsuit, it was the advertiser, now it's the publisher..please go right to the middle man!

Recently advertisers have been requesting that they see publishers' pages prior to approving pubs to run their offer. Now, I don't think this is necessarily the way to go, but I do think the onus should be on the networks to review how their partners are marketing their other partners' offers. Afterall, this is the value of a network in my opinion...they provide scale and a safe environment for both advertisers and publishers. Going to get off the soap box now.

If you do something that can't be easily copied, you don't have to compete with a hundred other guys doing the same thing and ripping off your stuff all the time. If you truly believe that you can't compete with non compliant promotions when as you said "the game is changing", then I think you're in the wrong business.
yup.

Here's a novel idea: don't build your "business" around deceptive advertising. Stop hustling for the quick buck, think long term, and you'll be fine.

This. Exactly what I was going to say. Run everything legit - there is still a shit ton of money to be made.

International affiliates are screwed too. The law says if you are marketing to americans, you are subject to US laws. Whether or not its enforced is another story.
