The main point everyone is missing is that the OP is still young. Go to college (especially if you are getting financial help from your family). You can't look 10 years ahead at age 18. Sure you may not "use your degree" - but you will miss out. Also, I have spoken to many investors that turn down many investment ops because the requestor does not have a degree (if that's something you would ever consider).
If you already made up your decision why the fuck are you still looking for answers ?
I'm in my final year of college, and I can say the following:
-Good parts: chicks, new people, opportunities.
-Bad parts: there will be a few classes that are going to suck but you can get by pretty easy.
It's your choice, but if you decide to go you should definitely choose something you're interested in!

If you're 18-19 and have $300,000 saved up then you're ahead of 90% of America. Keep doing what you're doing.
If you have around $300k saved up do the following...
-Buy Black convertible lambo
-Buy nice flat/pay upfront for student accommodation
-Go to college and pull bitches in your lambo errday
-Have a few campaigns(sites or whatever) that can give you passive income without much work
-Have a blast a college
-Get degree
-Acquire more money
That's what I would do. Unless you think you can have 1M in the bank, but the way IM is going just now, I wouldn't bank on it.

I'm still not sure how college is going to do any of that. I'm going to Carnegie Mellon (arguably the top computer science school in the world) and the focus is placed almost entirely on grooming CS undergrads for jobs at Facebook and Google. A couple months ago I went to a presentation of CMU's startup program and all of the startups but one were complete jokes.
College would be the first place I'd look if I wanted to find a good workhorse, but the last place I'd look if I wanted to find a partner to help me innovate and bring my work to another level.
LOL, I went to a rinky dink state school in Florida. I slacked off like all hell, partied my ass off, was there for 5yrs, barley passed with my 2.7 GPA, met my wife, and got two business BA's . Had an awesome time, it was well worth the 20k in debt at the end (I had a job, paid for school myself).
OP: You do know you only have to live in a state for one year before you register to be in-state right? If you are making money now, just do it for a year, then go to college and pay 90% less. I am sure you mom will let you wait the year to save 30k+. Plus if you continue to make as much as you are you are now you can pay off your loans in a year, or just not take any in-state tuition is a joke.

You'd be grateful every day to breathe Carnagie Mellon air. Life is not only AM, this one could die tomorrow but you have the mindset to challenge new and other businesses.
What about startups? It's a matter of numbers in every place of the world not only your college, 90% of startups funded by angel investors are useless crap, the other 10% make funding profitable.
Move to a college town, go to school when you feel like it, fuck bitches, rage your face off, smoke massive amounts of chronic, and do some AM in your free time.
