My hard drive crashed... So I installed a new one. Re-installed XP. But MS didn't like that I had installed it on too many machines. So I had to call them.

After being on hold for 10 minutes I get through. They tell me their system is down and I should call back in 30 minutes, it might be up then... Who else could get away with this crap!

I can't find my FrontPage 2003 disk... so I asked what to do. They said "Buy another one" ... omfg I hate this company!

Anyone got any ideas on where to get another FrontPage 2003 disk? I have my product ID, just need the setup file.

Thanks-

Wow - I had to 2nd guess myself to try and remember what Frontpage even was -lol. A quick look on torrent sites found complete Office XP installs with Frontpage included, but didn't see a Frontpage 2003 specific download.

Yeah yeah... I'm a newb...

I got used to FrontPage and can't bring myself to back track long enough to learn DreamWeaver.

For you torrent savvy people out there. How do you know you aren't getting spyware/viruses when you download?

My biggest thing with torrents is reading comments and judging the size...comments are your best bet though. If it's a highly seeded/downloaded torrent, more than likely there will be comments on if it's real or fake.

I forgot about Microsoft's Expression btw - check it out:
Microsoft® Expression®

It's the replacement for Frontpage and can easily be found for download.

You don't. Don't download any programs from torrentz or from any shady sources.

Anti-viruses can catch only known viruses, people that are involved into computer underground create viruses all the time... so you don't know what you're getting.

Dude. All that junk code. The horror.

It took me 1 day to learn DW coming from FP 3 years ago. If you use the Design mode like you do in FP, it only takes working with it for a while to relearn where everything is at.

Back then, cleaning my code helped me increase in rank. Oh well, keep enjoying your FP.

alright... gonna take a stab at learning DreamWeaver...

Yep, me too. Mass find / replace, quick sitewide link checking, etc. DW and me? Best buds.

Alrighty... I've said it before but I will say it again: I am not as smart as most of the people on this forum.

I sat down with Dreamweaver and immediately found myself frustrated. I couldn't do simple things like fill in the site management info. For software developers out there, try to keep the dumbasses like me in mind when you build software! I could use some tips on where to find the answers... maybe a little 'help' link next to the form or something.

But, thanks to WF I stuck it out. When I post questions here I really do take to heart the answers you guys give me.

I bought Dreamweaver for Dummies and started working through it. Took me about 10 hours of reading and fumbling with the software before I was making pages.

Now, after 10 days, I LOVE Dreamweaver. I'm able to build pages faster, better, and leaner.

Once again, thanks WF for helping a dumbass like me =)
