Holy crap thats some messed up stuff right there. I don't think they should stop at just a book of this epic unfolding drama, it should also become a made-for-tv movie - perhaps Chuck Norris storms in at the end and deals out street justice?!

I'm not even gonna say I told you so. When I exposed him for being a fake in the thread where we were arguing no one even took notice.
I showed that his whole toughguy facade was a fake and that he was capable of actually speaking intelligently...as most con men can turn it on and off like that.... He of course lied and said he had come down off his pain meds.... what a joke.
To all those who used to suck his dick and agree with everything he said and had his back whenever he flamed someone you should feel bad too because it just proves what a follower you are.

I wouldt go as far as to the people that backed him were all "followers."
I mistook Chris for being an out spoken, in your face, no Bs kind of person, despite the fact the he was over the edge, I respected him for thinking he was just that type of person. Which is one reason why like other people have mentioned its not a good idea to take anything or anyone you meet online literally.
The way things go around here, the tides could be totally turned next week.
Anyway I hope bad things happen to Chris, very, very bad things.

I used to actively post on a poker forum where something very similiar happened. Some dude became a well respected and somewhat intimidating figure in the community, gaining other prominent members' trust. He ended up absconding with about $27K. He still shows up and posts random jibberish and BS from time to time. This guy was actually revealed to have been involved in a boiler room scam in the 90's where $1.5 mil was defrauded from unknowing investors.
A good scam artist takes time to set up his mark, gaining the trust of those willing to believe, and attempting to isolate and ostracize those who speak out against him. Looking back at chris's posting history, one can quite easily identify this pattern. Many times it is a LOT harder to spot when you are still involved with day to day relations with the person.
To those who got fucked, have you considered legal action? This stituation isn't like online poker where no legislation is relevant. Obv if you are you probably won't be discussing it in an open forum. Either way, best of luck.

haha yeah. he had mad cred with a bunch of people and would talk on the phone for hours on end with some posters. that shit was a fucking mess and i really can't believe that micon was stupid enough to pay any more than $0.000000000001 on the dollar lol.
it really is amazing how some people can become blind to reality - for example, some posters knew about this guy's securities and exchange commission conviction and didn't tell anyone, even when he was about to launch an online poker stock market (which was a completely retarded idea anyway).
not saying that people were blind here, just pointing out how effective a good scam artist can be for extended periods of time.

Now, if Jon manages to sell what amounts to a vbulletin install, some pretty graphics and small community for more than $10k, he wins !

That's the biggest mistake he made though. Because now he cannot attend ANY industry related event or conference ever again because we all know what he looks like and will be damn sure to make sure everyone knows who he is.
