If I hadn't gone to the latest show, I just may have gone back and seen it twice.

Phenomenal imagery. Unparalleled action sequences. And more blood and gore than any other movie since Gladiator (and maybe more than that).

And it was pretty humorous to see how every guy that walked out of that movie was all puffed up enough to chew a tire off of a car. If you saw it, you can't deny that it gets you fired up.

Yeah, "300" is a definite "buyer." :thumbsup:

I just went and saw it. Spartans define ownage.

and about 2/3 of the movie was fighting - kick ass!

300 is definitely kick ass. Seen it twice. Could of used a little less SLOW MOTION though.

A little off topic but I've always been surprised at the HUGE difference between the Spartans (glorified in the film "300") and the Athenians. The Athenians had democracy, the Spartans had an EXTREMELY ordered (and conformist) society. While it's easy to be uncomfortable about Spartan society now (extreme xenophobia and always fearful of an all consuming slave uprising by the Helots), it is worthwhile to keep in mind that they DID try to create an "ideal" society through the very draconian and sparse social system laid down by Lycurgus.
