This, by the way, is retarded. If you leave berries/grapes/fruits out they will ferment due to wild yeast. Fermentation is a process by which yeast and sugar create alcohol and CO2. A full fermentation will finish sans sugar - with a dry, sugar-free, non-sweet, alcoholic taste.
