I need to use three different packages for my domain.

1. Hosting
2. Mail Hosting
3. DNS Management

All three are from different service providers. How the fuck do I do this?

DNS management, from the domain level create nameservers pointing to the DNS server's IP's. Then point the domain to those nameservers.

Have the DNS server point web to your web server on the A records and the standard setups in the zone file, and then have the MX records shift to your mail hosting. Don't forget to A-record the ns1/ns2 on that zone file to point to the DNS server, NOT the web server.

That's ... it in a nutshell. Unless you have failover or something of the like.

Need some more details. Is your domain registrar the same as your hosting company? are you using a dedicated server or shared hosting?

As for mail hosting, I suggest setting up Google Apps, you'll be able to use it like Gmail but for your own domain. Much better than handling it on your server, and accessible from anywhere by going to mail.yourdomain.com. That is done by signing up for Google Apps and setting some DNS records at your domain registrar to point the MX(mail) records to Google.

Now this is a little different than most setups. First off, drive doesn't work, but third does. Neutral is park, reverse is second. If you want to use reverse, put it in drive. You got it?"

I think what he means is his hosting, domain registrar, and mail provider are all separate companies. This is easy..

STEP1: Go to your domain registrar and point it to the ip your host gave you in a new A record.

STEP2: Setup the MX records for your mail at your domain registrar as well. There should be an MX record input somewhere on there. And of course you will have DNS management from your domain registrar if you let them handle the DNS.

A Record for the Hosting Nameserver?
MX Record for the Mail ...OK
DNS is also third party, so is that another CNAME Record?

1.) Get VPS / dedicated with 2 IPs. Tell hosting to setup DNS on this server with ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com. Login to your registrar, and register the two name servers. Transfer domain.com to the new nameservers.

2.) Get second hosting account for mail. Setup e-mail accounts as desired.

3.) Get third hosting account for web site. Setup as desired.

4.) Contact hosting company #1, and tell them to point your domain.com (website) to #3 IP address, and the MX record (mail) to #2 IP address.

Done!

Honestly though, you pretty much got the same answer from everyone. Everyone just used different ways to describe it.

1. Point your nameservers to where your DNS will be managed
2. Create an MX and an A record for your mail server
3. Create an A record for your hosting and perhaps a CNAME for the www subdomain

Got me fucked why you'd have your DNS managed independently of your hosting?

Finally. Sense.

Although I quite didn't understand the other answers, thanks to all that made an attempt to poke their dick through my head.
