Klitschko vs. Hayes at 4:45 PM ET on HBO. (Free)

Haye spent more time bitching than fighting.

I found it funny though when he threw himself to the canvas, the ref counted it as a knockdown.

But yeah, Wladimir has always been a boring boxer; his brother Vitali is more exciting.

...and more excuses in the post fight interview. C'mon dude.

(although his toe does look pretty messed up. Enough armchair commentary from me, I guess :D)

Klitschkos are so classy. +rep

But lol @ "I try to hold belts but I do not have enough hands"

So much hype, so disappointing. I still think Haye is a good fighter but Wlad is on another level. Great defence. Haye's strategy was all wrong. He was going on about his secret tactic, but during the fight it looked like the tactics were to drop to the ground so Wlad gets a few point deductions. If Haye got Wlad tired during the first 8 rounds or so, and fought the last 4 rounds like he did in the last, he could've done it. Oh well, they're going to share a £30-50m pot 50/50 so it's all good.

Also, Haye's face was fuckery in an interview. Face bruised, lips swollen, and was wearing big ass shades.

You guys that thought the fight was boring. :thefinger:

Seriously, if you are a TRUE boxing fan, what you saw in the ring was the #1 Heavyweight in the world, Wladimir Klitschko, making the #3 Heavyweight, David Haye, look completely "ordinary". Wladimir completely controlled the fight with his defense, and that's the point in boxing (hit without getting hit). The skill level it takes to completely control a fight like that is extraordinary, and I enjoy watching it.

I swear, if the Klitschko brothers were American, the media would be falling all over them.

Unfortunately...this type of analysis and appreciation for boxing has all been killed thanks to the emergence of MMA.
