How many of you guys have a CCW (Concealed Cary Permit)

CCW-Utah. When i first got it, i carried into my local grocery store. It felt way awkward. Haven't carried it since. But it is great for having on road trips (allows you to have a loaded gun in the car) or when going camping.

what the fuck is going wrong in the US that you all have to carry guns while walking on the street?

It's called freedom. What's wrong with the rest of the world is that the government runs your life and tells you that you can't carry guns while walking on the street.

Arizona state Sen. Lori Klein (R), a gun-rights champion, keeps a loaded raspberry-pink handgun in her purse, and during an interview with Arizona Republic reporter Richard Ruelas, she took it out and pointed it at him.

"Oh, it's so cute," Klein said, before aiming the gun at Ruelas's chest to show off the red beam of the laser sight. Klein's gun, a .380 Ruger, has no safety, but the senator assured Ruelas that he wasn't in danger.

"I just didn't have my hand on the trigger," she said.

Klein told the Arizona Republic that she owns a number of guns and has had "informal" training sessions on each of them, and that she was taught gun safety by her father.

Guns are fucking terrifying, if you disagree then I imagine you haven't been on the business end of one before.

That being said, I still plan on getting one at some point in time because as long as crazy mother fuckers have them, I'll need one.

I live in the oh so wonderful police state of California, where you can't have a fucking dam thing. however, I do have a ccw in arizona (but as of late last year, ccw is no longer required and you can carry like a free man). So I'm seriously contemplating moving there since I'm in love with all my guns.

CCW is possible in California, you just have to have a really legitimate reason. I think it varies a lot by county.

Look at all the crazy motherfuckers in this thread walking around with guns...wouldn't you want to be packing, too?

What happens if you get shit ass drunk in a bar and you are carrying a concealed weapon and have a license? Is it legal?

This exactly. It's an argument that's hard to beat as far as why to own a gun. Although I'd own one anyway even if the crazies didn't.

I'm also looking for a home protection shotgun as my old one actually got destroyed in a fire believe it or not.

I'll also be using it for hunting. So I'd love to get an over-under but 2 bullets isn't that much for home protection. So I'm thinking maybe a Remington 870 for now and a over-under down the road. Anyone have any advice on a good shotgun for home protection/hunting?

This Mossberg 500 Tactical Persuader looks pretty sweet..and not a bad price at around $350.

I could be wrong, but I think people in law enforcement aren't allowed to drink alcohol while carrying a weapon. That probably applies to civilians, too. Just an assumption though.

People misusing guns are fucking terrifying, if you disagree then I imagine you haven't been on the business end of one before. I'm so glad that by themselves guns are just inanimate objects, and being afraid of one would be as silly as having an irrational fear of lawnmowers.

Good for you. I fixed your post... :p

Not in most states. Neither is driving drunk. This situation probably needs a designated defender, lol.

Is that thing legal in CA? I thought they still had the "assault weapons" ban prohibiting those scary-looking components like a barrel heat shield, and collapsible stocks.
EDIT: You could probably get a Remington 870 for around the same price. And, what chipmunk said...

Its not that things are going wrong here, but every once in a while shit happens. The freedom to keep and bear arms is a privilege we have enjoyed for hundreds of years because our founding fathers decided it was a good idea to give its citizens "options'

I could be wrong, but wasn't the original right to bear arms to prevent you being walked over by government, banks and any other bodies that chose to dictate?

It seems that failed and you just kill each other instead. Ironically, it seems mainly down to the manipulation from the very people the guns were supposed to prevent you from being ruled by (and also grant you certain rights to use them in certain situations).

I'm not trolling, I don't care if people want to carry a gun and shoot people up, I simply fail to understand it.
