How many tabs do you have open on a regular working day?

Twenty or more. I try to whittle it down, and they always multiply.

A good firefox plugin to manage them is called TooManyTabs. You can have unlimited tabs split into multiple rows or groups, and it unloads them from memory when you place them in the TMT bar.

Always have around 5 Chrome windows and most with 2 or 3, but up to around 10 tabs at a time.

I don't shut down my computer just put it on standby to keep the tabs open.

Just installed FreshStart to autosave open tabs or manually save when I am doing a restart for updates. Seems to work well.

By the way does anyone know of a way to rearrange open Chrome windows (not tabs) without doing that stupid swap dance?

Right now I have about 7 and this is me just starting up.

When in full gear I have about 30 tabs and a remote computer with another 20 tabs plus my vps with something else lol

I'm constantly running way too many, but usually not just the internet.

Currently have (and usually) 10 chrome tabs, 14 PS tabs, 6 illustrator, 20? notepads, 3 thunderbird, 8 dreamweaver, 3 aim windows....

Thank god for that little bottom right hand button on Windows 7 hides everything and shows your desktop, otherwise I'd never find it.

I was seriously considering making a program which let you drop your programs into sections... (ex. graphics tab, notes tab, chat tab, ect)

I know OS lion has something kind of like this. Does anyone know if there is something similar?

A tip for those of you running Firefox... As 5.0, there is no need to open a new browser window if you want to separate tabs. Just press Ctrl + Shift + E and you can manage "tab groups". Drag a window from the main tab group into the gray area of that Ctrl+Shift+E screen and it will create a new group. Just as good as having new windows but without actually having multiple windows.

Whats Tabs?

Edit... Ugh I spent 5 min making this and forgot the firefox logo... :(

You know what would be nice would be if they could build in a drop down menu in each tab to organize the tabs a bit..

I usually run 30-50 in chrome but it is split across two screen so it isnt as bad as having 50 stacked on one screen.

I've got 23 right now... my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy. Am I? I noticed I always have between 15-25 tabs open, never less. Using Chrome BTW. Doing this on FF would quickly turn into a nightmare.

The only reason FF would be an issue is if you have a weak sauce computer, just sayin. Invest some money in your rig, or a new rig.

Jesus some of you are crazy. I thought I was bad with 20-40 tabs open.

How the hell do you manage keeping that many tabs open?

I usually have around 20, but yeah I use FF with all the dumb add ons so any more than that will really eff up the speed of my puter.
