Right now i'm living in Connecticut, born and raised here. Looking to stay up north. Anyone have any suggestions for a great place to move to in the USA? Any input is appreciated.

Was looking at Michigan, Maine, upstate new york.

Michigan here, you might be better off moving to fucking New Jersey to be honest

I'm about to jump ship to NZ or something, but I'm not sure if I'm suffering from greener pasteurs syndrome or not

depends what your looking for, city, country, place for family, singles?

To broad of a question. I have researched this a few times but I have always looked for "family" areas. That have work, good schools, low cost of living.

Wisconsin is generally fairly cheap and I promise you booze filled adventures.

yes well I am looking for a good area to raise a family. I would like to live near a large body of water and also have some land. I also love the snow and wouldn't want to move far south. Anyone live in alaska?

Not up north and way down south... Dallas/Fort Worth area...

Low cost of living, no State income tax, anything you can imagine easily available in this area...

further you live from the airport the better...schuylkill county, pa you can get a 3 bedrrom house for $300/month or a mortgage for $200 - seriously. (where i grew up relatives still live there)

where i live near the miami area you are lucky if you get a 1 bedroom apartment for under $2000/month...happy hunting!

I pay 185 a month in Arkansas for a huge ass apartment and two roommates.

If I was making 100k I would probably still stay here, shit is a blast.

We went down to Charlotte a few months ago looking to move there.

Its definitely a family area with some of the other things your looking for.

Rochester NY is affordable, on lake Ontario and more snow than you'll ever want

Which is why I left A long time ago

the syracuse region of ny is really affordable but its some of the worst weather in the world. winters are brutal, every other season is rainy and humid. 14 days a years that's not too hot, not too cold and not cloudy.
