So, yesterday I spent about $59 for a listing on Flippa. I decided to have a BIN price as well. I woke up this morning and noticed someone already hit the "Buy it Now" button however, did not actually pay for the site.
I get a message in my inbox from that buyer saying "sorry, i have missed button, i will not buy your site"
They have no reason not to buy the site, since they did not state any reason. I viewed the buyers information and they just joined Flippa it seems, with absolutely no feedback, bids, or anything.
Anyways, $59 is not a huge fee for me plus what is owed on the success fee, however this really ticks me off that buyers can just come in and ruin an auction that I paid for. Now, I'll have to relist later on.
I did not bother to even respond to this deadbeat buyer because I don't want any issues or having to argue over something. I simply reported them to Flippa. I know they are based in Australia. My ticket was pushed to customer service and now I have to wait.
Does anyone have any recommendations to avoid these types of buyers or what should I do? I've sold many sites on Flippa before and never ran into an issue like this!
