Yes!
Watched the whole thing. I get a bit down after watching Bill Hicks these days.
Then you need to watch the fellatio joke. ;-)
It's going to be the next evolutionary step don't you know? :-D
Wish the man was still around, I'd love to hear his take on the current state of everything. He was way more than just a comedian, even when a joke wasn't very funny there would still be truth in what hes saying, presented in such a 'elegant' way.
Kind of good that he's dead (in a way).
He'd have hated this world - he had so much hope for the future.
Remember how he celebrated when Bush lost? The joke about how he and Sadam saw eye to eye when Sadam said he'd like to behead Bush and kick it down the street?
I'm pretty sure he'd hate Obama, despair of Gore. About the only thing I can think of that he'd like would be the X-Prize.
I also love his offensiveness. Hes not like Frankie Boyle or similar who are offensive just to be offensive (Frankie Boyle ftw!), Bill was only found to be offensive by the exact sort of person he was always describing as being the problematic people in this world.
I was lucky enough to see him (and meet him briefly) when he visited my country.
I only wish I'd discovered him earlier. I didn't know who he was before the gig. Saw him the next night at the taping of a bad television show. (the video is up on Youtube - you can see him rubbing his abdomen.)
I heard later that he was diagnosed while he was here...
The only thing I've ever not seen eye to eye with him about is advertising, though I do agree with his sentiments. If I was never involved with business I'd probably have agree'd with him, but fuck, we're out to part stupid people with their money

"I got no teef! Snickers! Diet Coke!"
Now there's some ads that'll work!
I don't think he completely hated advertising - just the way it dominated and manipulated television. He especially hated how it seduced and even created "comedians" and "artists" (though he did make and exception for Willie Nelson and Taco Bell 'cause of the tax bill).
@AlexKTD, I saw the documentary a few months ago. It was pretty interesting, also made me quite sad which rarely happens for these sort of reasons. Such a good man. He lived life the way he wanted to and he got to spread his correct, open minded, views upon society in a way which uplifted people.
RIP
That documentary - "It's Just A Ride"??
Have you seen the Dave Letterman show they did to mark Bill Hick's passing? They had Bill's mum on. It was pretty interesting - made me think Dave Letterman was genuinely sorry about censoring that show.
If you ever get the chance to meet Dennis Leary - smack him in the mouth from me. He unashamedly pinched Bill's work and tried to pass it off as his own.
Dead - but not gone, or forgotten
I left in love, in laughter, and in truth and wherever truth, love and laughter abide, I am there in spirit.
Cheers
It's just a ride and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money, a choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. ~ Bill Hicks
