A singer named Makana, was a scheduled performer for a private dinner Obama hosted in Hawaii, and he performed this protest song:

Song is a bit gay for my tastes. Should appeal to the masses though. Lyrics are decent- kid was smart enough to appeal to a broad audience and not pigeonhole himself or the song. Overall +rep to the guy for a passive aggressive protest. Sure the vid will go viral as well..

inb4 the song is corporatised into some bullshit theme song for occupy.

I agree Makana is a big gay looking, (And what famous singer isn't?) but he sounds like Dylan and his message is 100% on target for #Occupy.

They've found it. This is finally the rally cry they've been waiting for.

Watch those views over the next few days... I'm guessing millions fast, and then all occupy protests will start singing this at rallies.
