Leap Pads are the hot toy this Christmas and unbenounced to me at the time I bought 2. They were $110 ea

Fast forward to now and they're all over craigslist for anywhere up to $500 ea

I posted an ad for the hell of it asking $250 ea or $450 for 2 and within 20 min I got an email from a guy wanting to pick it up immediately

Now feel like shit because I'm not gonma sell it and have my kids not get them and now I know some little girl out there likely won't get

sell em and buy in January for $110 ... or ... sell em and use the $450 to buy an even more badass gift.

i wonder if theyre all gone.

Doesn't look like it... I'm seeing 20+ in my area alone that have been up for 4 days now.

Amazon still has 11 at $169

Was thinking about getting one for my daughter as well... afraid she might get bored of it too fast after already playing with an iPad/Iphone though, lol

wtf? OP, you're a marketer. Surely it's time you taught your kids that scarcity is bullshit, and if they wait a little while, they can have another cool toy AND a leappad.

All you're doing by pandering to this "get the cool Xmas toy" thing is training them to be little pavlovian consumers, salivating whenever Mattel rings the advertising bell.

(yeah, yeah, I'm an anti-consumerist marketer. Deal with it. And yes, I do have a kid too.)

My kids are 4 and 3 they font even know what a leap pad is intact they're use to playing games on my and my wifes iphones they're prolly gonna be wtf is this crap

ebtek: Order from amazon using Prime (2-day shipping). If order goes through... meet with the guy and sell. If not - your kids should have them.

Nothing like seeing your kids eyes going all big, as they are finding what Santa left them.

Teaching them discernment, I see. Good, good.

In which case, resell the leappad at $400, then (if you really want one), buy another in January when pricing has returned to normal.

They have been hot for 2-3 months, the price will continue to fall as we get closer to xmas, and it was never anywhere near 500 lol

the manufacturers site has them on and off...right now it looks like they have them sir

just reply to the guy and say

"sir I are at pure joy that you are interested in buying from me, I will surely be the best transacton that you ever did by these methods. Please sent me a western union check to 330 Blevara st. Africa and You product will be arrive to your doorstep over night I promise you that!"

problem solved.

The craigslist guy is probably a scammer that will swindle you out of your money and your toys. Just my 2c
