Dominating an industry vs. Just selling products

There is a growing industry right now that I want to jump into. It's spreading fast all over the globe, but it hasn't really caught fire yet in the USA.

I've been devouring so much marketing material over the past 3 years that all I can think about are product ideas, landing pages, demographics etc. but this isn't enough.

I'm looking at this from a marketer's pov, but we all know that product sellers make millions while people who control/dominate markets and industries make billions.

I need help to start looking at this without my marketing goggles on. I don't want to just create a few different products, I want to run the entire show.

I recently read Felix Dennis' book How To Get Rich, and I'm looking for more books, courses, articles, etc. where I can learn more about BIG business.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

just focus on making great products. Obsess over your products. Make every little detail perfect and don't try to compare to anyone else in the industry, make everyone else try to match up to you.

This is a double edged sword. You gotta focus on making stuff which is either good enough or just better than the rest and then FOCUS on selling it hardcore... that is if you want to make money.

If you want to dominate, make sure you hire the right people when you get the cash flow built up. Trust me, you don't have all the necessary skill sets to dominate an industry. No one individual does.

Stop reading books and make the jump already. I've got no idea what industry you're talking about, but in pretty much any business the first mover advantage is one of the cornerstones of success.

If you don't act now, I can guarantee you that in three or six months time you will be kicking yourself because you didn't hustle fast enough.

I wouldn't focus on "dominating" the industry unless you had the means to do so. That generally takes a lot of time for planning, a lot of IP protection and lawyer work, and a lot of money for marketing and other.

You need the millions made from product reselling before making billions from ownership and domination.
