First results about to come in; thought I would remind everyone not to get their hopes too high because Paul has been spending lots of time campaigning for the Maine caucus this Saturday.

However RP is in Minnesota as I write this, apparently hitting the world-famous Coon Rapids middle school polls.

Yeah, that ought to be enough. FML. :crap:

I'll be watching all three states come in tonight here:

Google Politics & Elections

and here:

Primaries - State Results - Election Center 2012 - Elections & Politics from CNN.com

...Here's hoping he gets ahead of Greengrinch at least and picks up a respectable number of delegates somehow. :banana_sml:

Admit it Luke - no matter how many you think (or hope) get it, the vast majority don't sadly enough. Time to pack your bags and pay me a visit down here. :)

It's so arse backwards over there and getting worse. Good luck bros.

It's unfortunate that Paul, a Washington insider and career politician gets so much traction paying lip-service to faux-Libertarian views while Lee Wrights, the duly anointed candidate is kept on the sidelines.

Do I have to admit something I've been screaming off the rooftops around here about? I guess I'm just not able to look away from this election in the same way you don't take your eyes off the bus full of children going over a cliff... Perhaps superman will swoop in or something?

Sounds fun... Just worried my american passport will get my ass in trouble at some point. In fact I am starting to worry they won't be issuing passports at all next year! :disgust:

BTW, how does my thread on the american election here not have any other americans on it? :1zhelp:

Trust me Luke, I'm watching this very closely. As America continues its downward spiral into the shitter, it only puts countries like China in a stronger position - something I don't feel entirely comfortable with.

There are issues that will impact everyone sooner or later if the U.S. doesn't get its shit together - and fast.

Do you know which of these he is supposed to do the best in?
I'd guess Minnesota... The Paul campaign looks more organized there but I don't know anything for sure.

Man I wish the outside world would say something about this election formally... Could you imagine if some important country stepped up and said that if Paul isn't elected as the next president then they are going to be moving their embassy out of the country for fear of its' safety? Or would be selling all of it's american bonds back?
</fantasy>

DAMN SCROTORUM IS KICKING ASS... In all three states it looks like he's going to take #1!

How in the hell??? Somebody please explain this to me... Is it all the negative ads against mittens lately? WTF!

Bro I would suggest moving... Shits getting ugly.

@learningcurve: where you at?

Australia and despite what you might hear or read, it's still a pretty fucking cool place to live. :)

And yes shit is getting ugly over there but the masses don't seem to be noticing, instead buying into the rhetoric (keeping them safe) which will lead to America becoming a police state eventually.

Sad but true.

Problems in the US affect everyone everywhere in the world. Weather it's gas prices or imported goods the cost of living will go up.

Yeah, I mentioned that above. That's why I would like the American public to get it fucking right this time.

Luckily we have an environment that is widely diverse which can produce and be mined for numerous resources, so if the States went down we'd hurt but not be crippled. The only thing we really lack is oil imo.

Plus we are sitting on a fuckton of gold:

You'll be too broke to go to war with anyone if shit keeps going the way it is.
My fear there is that like with North Korea, once we start to fall, (especially since we got all these nukes lying around) we will become a very militarized state threatening others with our power out of insecurity, irrationally still trying to cling to the petrodollar. :sadcrying4:

Lets hope it doesn't get that far. Lets put it this way, if non U.S. folks can see what is going on and understand the merits of an individual like Paul, then maybe there is a small chance that you guys will get it too when the time comes.

^I dunno. The fight is too hard and the fighters too few.

I imagine all the people left here smart enough to know what's going on are going to follow me out of the country.

This worries me. If someone like you, that has been as vocal in his support for Ron Paul, simply gives up, then I hold very little hope for the direction of your country.

Let the imaginary God fucking help us all.
