many people had their eggs spread out across multiple money sites but still want to see if they can get back the revenue lost by the google slap.
you posted a thread about how you have been on WF forever and have an absurd amount of posts and thus want to contribute to the forum. Telling someone who just got slapped that they should "do their own research" is sorta dick.
Sorry, but having multiple money sites across multiple niches is not having your eggs in different baskets if you're using the exact same linking techniques. If you were using different techniques (i.e, anchor diversity, social factors + links to inner pages) all of your sites wouldn't have got hit in the first place. If this is your only job and source of income, then I hope you have a nice cash reserve. I sure as shit didn't quit my day job as soon as I starting making decent money online.
If you're making crappy one page MFA sites with terrible onpage SEO and crappy bounce rates, then you're playing a different SEO game to me (not that I don't have those type of sites, but it only makes up a small portion of my income. Diversify or die) and you're better off playing the numbers game like lukep and secretagentdad are doing successfully.
I never made a post mentioning anything to do with:
"you posted a thread about how you have been on WF forever and have an absurd amount of posts and thus want to contribute to the forum."
Please reread my original post.
Ok, so I am one post away from my 3k post and I am tossing up between two ideas.
Idea #1:
How to create an authority site, pretty in depth guide on how I go about creating new big sites that rank for monster terms (serpiq of 70+).
Idea #2:
Sharing some autoapprove footprints
Whatever has the most votes will win.
If people have specific questions and have shown some indication of personal reasoning (rather than just 'my site got slapped and I'm not sure why?), they are welcome to PM me or ask me on skype.
If you haven't done any research then heres how to start:
Whats your bounce rate like?
--Guess what, it's different from niche to niche. If you haven't done any optimizing chances are it sucks. Do some heatmapping for starters and see where your moronic users are clicking because they think it should be a link.
Whats your anchor text diversity like?
--Look at the current top10 and see what theirs looks like (using your favorite tool or multiple tools - if you haven't already tried to duplicate all of their links then do so. Match and exceed. Eli + bluehateseo FTW).
Whats your link spread like?
--Again, look at your competitors.
Then you can start to look at social factors and start worrying about different link types and all that fun stuff
