How would you monetize though? People are searching for something negative about a product, so its not like you would sell Omaha steaks or whatever. I'm not actually tryin this idea, but thought i'd get the ball rolling for thinking past traffic.

In the same vane think of making a site with anything to do about E. coli or salmonella contamination, it will happen again. Then link to organic farm aff offers (don't know if they exist, so go hit up your local farmer). Geo target and sell ads for local farmers markets.

If people are looking for something negative, give them alternatives to beef. There are plenty of Lobster aff programs for example.

this is what we call "steering" in real estate. your essentially capitalizing on someones fears and steering them to your offer that will calm thier fears. could be omaha steaks wher there hasn't been one case of e-coli contamination ever? or try this smoker for $400 it kills all ecoli and shit or this self cleaning slicer.

you can go direct to these companies and be a direct affiliate???

example of steering in RE: real estate agent says " you dont want to buy that house because there are gang bangers across the street but if you buy my home you have nice quiet old couples all around you." he is breaking the law by doing that but not in our biz :)

keep in mind that beef recall is one of the kywords but there and many in this arena to SEO and monetize around

Exactly, your marketing copy should "frame" the offer you are providing. You're steering them through a sale in a journalistic approach. Make a story around the topic and somehow connect it, logically, to your offer.

It could be:
  • Omaha Steaks with copy as BYA mentioned.
  • It could be, "Since you can't eat beef, you probably won't be going to any steakhouses in the near future. So, here are the top 5 non-steakhouse restaurants in the USA... with the chance to win $500 gift cards to each! (I know you've seen those Olive Garden offers)
  • Or maybe there's an article about the Health benefits of beef. Since you can't get them from beef right now, you need to find a source of these vitamins elsewhere. We found a product that has ALL of the vitamins and proteins as beef and more. Just eat one after dinner and you're all done... send them to some health vitamin offer.
  • How about a poll? How do you cook your beef? Vote now and win a Free iPhone... radio buttons oculd be Rare/medium rare/medium/well done and no matter what they answer they will be redirected to an iphone email submit.
  • At the end of the day, if you can generate organic traffic from this, it's money regardless. Why not sell a text link to a lawyer who handles cases regarded to Mad Cow Disease or whatever the hell else you could get from bad beef? Too much work or too hard? Put CPM ads on the page.

Good stuff right here trigatch4. This stuff gets my creative juices going.

But now the hard work begins for any online marketer. Taking the steps to get to the end of a project where there is no guarantee but a gut feeling hat it can work and hat where it all starts but that fire may start to fade quick but that where the earning comes in. The many days and nights working with no pay to hopefully reach that pay day.

Good luck ya all and all come up with another one tomorrow.
