I'm amazed that you people don't seem to understand the significance that V for Vendetta is having on our culture.
It has significantly helped the masses to understand or at least ponder more on our current world situation that is being actively hidden from us. Even before anonymous existed, pretty much immediately in fact, V made some real changes to the public consciousness.
The idea it spread was a truly rare and dangerous thing for this big-corp-&-MSM-controlled world indeed... It allowed the masses to start speculating on the kind of real conspiracies that exist in this world and how to go about fighting them.
Sure, you can argue that there were other ways that ppl could stumble into learning about what our rulers are really up to, but this was one of only three widespread movies (the other two being
Network & the Matrix) that such an exposing of conspiracies was spread to the masses at large. Its' existence is kinda like letting Paul win 1 state.
The most amazing thing to me is that any major studio would allow it to happen. Must have been one heck of a screw-up on their part. (As was Network... Matrix, however, was set in the far-flung future in a world most humans won't be able to relate to so it honestly failed at this agenda, if it had some to begin with.)
Those of you who have no clue what I'm talking about need to rent
Network, V, and Matrix pt 1 and watch them all again while keeping the nature of our corporate overlords in mind as you watch them. That is all. :1bluewinky:
