I'm trying to get approved for Casale Media for a CPM banner ad campaign for a site I'm having built at this time. My problem is the site has not been completed yet, and they wouldn't approve my application.

Does anyone have a contact there I can speak with? I would certainly use your referal (if they have a program) if you can get me in - I would like to test them out to make sure their program is compatible w/ my site's banner admin section.

If Casale won't accept me, what is another good alternative I can try out?

Thanks!

Casale is paying an average of .39 CPM. I use them for bottom of the bucket fill. They were a player over a year ago, but they have lousy ads that aren't relevant.

I use TribalFusion, Burst and Gorilla Nation, but they are all tougher to get into. RedMcCombs has been great, and they pay better than Casale with a much higher fill rate.

39 cents!? F-that.. might be better return to run aff banners!

With any of these networks is it safe to say I will need to have the site up and running first and have proven traffic before they accept me? What kind of traffic volume are they looking for? I might have to run affiliate banners in the meantime...

What type of website are you running? Is it a general content/audience one? If so, that makes sense because 8,000/day is not that much for a category like that. However, if its a niche website, that seems a little weird.

it's a video site, so general content. It received 12,000 uniques yesterday, but of course that's after I applied...

mine is not a niche. going to try some others out, wonder what would pay better...a low CPM program while I build traffic for a better quality advertiser, or affiliate banners?

Even if you only had a 1% CTR on a banner, with 20% taking an action - if you had a $1.50 zip submit banner, and 10k uniques/day thats still $30... whereas if you had the same traffic and were paid <$1 per thousand its obviously less...

what are the typical stats on aff banners up top? Is the above even too generous (I know text links work better, people usually avoid banners, etc... but I want something up there in the meantime...)

Thanks!

what's wrong with CPC? I think that would be a much better option, unless you found a really good aff campaign that was well targeted with your site.

You could always join rightmedia, where networks (including CPX Interactive) compete for your adspace. I run ads on a site that gets 500 uniques a day with them.

well there already will be adsense on the page, i'm looking for a seperate stream of revenue for the banner space up top - which is why i would prefer a CPM program.

Thanks Nick- I will look into them.
