Yahoo files patent suit against Facebook - MarketWatch

Yahoo Inc. is suing Facebook in a California court for infringement of multiple patents, Yahoo said late Monday. In documents filed with the court, Yahoo claimed Facebook's entire social network model is based on Yahoo's technology. "For much of the technology upon which Facebook is based, Yahoo got there first and was therefore granted patents by the United Staets Patent Office to protect these innovations," said Yahoo. Yahoo is seeking three times the damage caused by Facebook.

Yahoo Sports, for example, can rival ESPN...you could say

Yahoo owns over 3,300 patents, don't sleep on them. They suck as a search engine/portal or whatever the fuck it is they think they're doing but as an intellectual property company they've built up a decent warchest.
