For those of us that work from home, what is your favorite TV show to have on in the background while you work?

My favorites:

Ninja Warrior
Top Gear UK
The First 48
Man vs Food
Ancient Aliens ( for laughs )

never could work with music or the tv going if it's something that really needs my attention

Anything that isn't too exciting or need to pay too much attention to follow.

For instance, I recently downloaded all seasons of That 70's Show and had them on in the background for like a week. Been through some Ice Road Truckers type programs but they are painfully uneventful after a while.

Peep Show is highly recommended.

I don't ever watch TV while working. I listen to sports radio (Jim Rome FTW) and Pandora.

Havent watched daytime TV since i was a kid playing hooky from school. Back then it was:
Batman reruns
Gilligan's Island reruns (Mary Ann FTW Bitches! Fuck Ginger!)

All I can say is thank ghad for the interwebs.

Oh I might tune in to CNBC if the market's in turmoil because I love disaster shows. Last time I made popcorn during the fat-finger incident.. was amazing watching the market plummet 1000 pts.

how can you watch TV and work I do not know, much of the work I do calls for most of my attention.

Not on in the daytime but I record "Restaurant Impossible" and watch it at lunchtime.

I love watching cooking shows as I'm eating as it makes my food taste better (no joke)...plus, that guy is so motivational, I'm ready to work again once I'm done with my lunch.

Normally music, and sometimes the odd podcast. If I watched TV while I work I'd feel like a bum and unemployed.

I turn on History Channel or Maury for laughs while I'm eating lunch but that's it.

I fucking love it when the DNA test proves the guy isn't the baby daddy and the skank goes running and crying to the back.

Puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

DAT AINT MY KID, MAURY! LOOK AT DAT NOSE! DAT NOSE DONT LOOK NUTHING LIKE MINE MAURY!

sounds like you're more in the "hardly working" category if you have background tv shows on

It's not like I actively pay attention to it, if you asked me at the end of the day what was on TV it would be like "Hoss ran away from home and got pregnant at age 14 but Tyler was not the father and Little Joe's plane spun in, there were no survivors."

who the fuck watches TV? i haven't turned mine on for so long it won't even turn on anymore.
