Hey guys,

I'm trying to ship my car from Knoxville, TN to San Diego, CA. I fly out on the 30th, so I need to get my car picked up before then. The arrival date is more flexible.

I went online and looked at a few services and the reviews were A. Fake (I do this for a living, they can't BS me) or B. Absolute Shit.

If I get screwed over by one of these booking agents and I can't get my car shipped before I fly out, then i'm royally fucked.

Any help guys?

I had one of my luxury cars bought from brandon, ms. I live in palm springs, california for the most part. Anyhow, I had it shipped and I know you have typically two opens - on an open carrier or an enclosed trailer (18 wheeler most likely). I had my car shipped in the 18 wheeler and paid about $800 for it. what are you being quoted?

I'm being quoted $950. I'm fine with that price, but I looked at the reviews online and they were fake or shitty. If I don't get the car picked up on time, then i'm fucked. I'm less concerned with it taking a week or two to get out there.

I'm cool with an open carrier, just don't wanna get screwed over or pay an insane amount of cash.

Like the lead gen guy that called me up and tried to close me took me to this bullshit website with fake reviews and then told me it was ran by the "Department of Transportation", which is total bullshit. The dude is trying to get my $150 deposit and then could give two shits about whether my care gets picked up.

You might want make some calls to some auto dealerships. They often ship and receive cars from all over the country. Ask for the used car manager and see if you can get him to drop you a few carriers. If you can get it delivered to say a dealership that a carriers delivering to you might be able to save a bunch. Either way think less web2.0 and more 1990 and think inside the box and you shld be able to get your car there quick safe and under budget

With a closed 18 wheeler , they are going to have several other people to load, which could include household stuff. They partition it, but if one or more customers take longer packing and loading their stuff, then it could delay your car.
At least with an ope car carrier, it's just cars and trucks and should reduce the chances of taking too long

I've driven across country around 7-8 times, it's a blast.

I'm in the moving and storage market. We are an agent for one of the top brand national carriers. With all that said I really suggest you call "The Car Carrier." I have their number at work but not here at home. Should be easy enough to track down.

If I was at work I would give you my agent number so I could collect a commission on the trip. I really could care less about that as I just wanted to put you in touch with a reputable company that just may be able to help you.
