Feel sorry or lol at this idiot pastor who died while pissing around with a rattlesnake. Not satisfied with seeing his father die the same way at the age of 39, he continued the family tradition.

Serpent 1 - 0 Human

The Bible is untrue to say the least, but these nut cases do the serpent handling thing because of some verses in Mark ch 16, which scholars say are not even original.

Do you ever feel sorry for the winners of the darwin awards?

I just hope the snake is ok... Poor thing, probably got stuck with that pastors' taste in its' mouth...
 
These guys have been doing this for a long ass period of time. Any reason as to how he died? What type of rattler? We got a few over here, people get bit alot... but don't usually die from it. My friend got bit in the toe when he was like 4-5 and lived. he musta been out in the boonies and didnt prep when he got bit or somethin
 
We have some churches like this in east TN up in the mountains. If they get bit, it's actually rare for them to seek medical treatment. If it were not the preacher, I doubt they would have even tried to drive him to the hospital.

For snake bites and other life-threatening conditions, they pray for God to help the sick person, if that person dies, then they accept it as God's will.

Occasionally a social worker will go up there to try to convince them to let the doctors treat the sick children, but social workers have a hard time making a case when there are shotguns pointed at them..

Looks like people only believe what their god says if they think the risks are low enough.
How anyone can believe a single word in the bible/koran is true is beyond me.

I think they took him home first for a few hours, just to let the poison run riot through his bloodstream, and to make him impossible to cure.

Madness.

But didn't God send snakes into the israelites to punish them?
