Wow: Indiana First State to Allow Citizens to Shoot Law Enforcement Officers

I was actually thinking about this a lot recently. What if I felt a cop endangered my life? With current laws, it would be pretty fucking difficult to defend myself and not go to jail for it.

The article is wrong, Texas, Ohio and Kentucky at a minimum have similar laws.

The POSSIBLE reason it's the 'first in the nation' was because Indiana put police officers (on duty and off duty) above the law, this law brought them back to the realm of normal people when they commit crimes.

Police officers in Indiana are upset over a new law allowing residents to use deadly force against public servants, including law enforcement officers, who unlawfully enter their homes. It was signed by Republican Governor Mitch Daniels in March.

implying if you do kill a cop you won't 'suicide' in the holding tank..

i'm sorry cops look out for their own...go ahead and think that law would protect you. aha

So does this mean militia groups and cults can legally fight off government agents when they get raided? This might set an interesting legal precedent.

you must be new....

ah ok. I wasn't sure. Either way it's a great law and hopefully many other states pass similar laws.
