If this was already posted I apologize

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will stop deporting and begin granting work permits to younger illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children and have since led law-abiding lives. The election-year initiative addresses a top priority of an influential Latino electorate that has been vocal in its opposition to administration deportation policies.

The news here is not that he stopped deportation for these people, and it's not even that he did it in an election year...

The News here is that Obomba has been trying to get this passed as a bill for YEARS and today said "FUCK IT. I'M SIGNING THIS BITCH INTO LAW TODAY BECAUSE I WANT IT."

He actually used an executive order to do this.

What's next? An executive order to remove all the monies from our bank accounts and put it all into his?

FFFFFFFffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

Are you guys fucking stupid or something?

They are letting *LAW ABIDING*, hard working illegals stay in the United States. Not only do these guys cause less problems than the average trailer trash and ghetto fab loser, but they also pay taxes. Yes, illegals pay taxes because they use other peoples' SSNs to work (and get taxed). They claim 0 tax refunds because they know that's how ICE will get them.

Why on earth would you deport someone who has a family to support and constantly lives under the fear of misbehaving lest they wind up in prison for 6-12 months before being deported?

Stop being emotional responders and connect the dots. There is no way the fed would do something unless it was directly beneficial to them.

..but now that fear has been removed, and will become your average trailer trash and ghetto fab losers. :(

And I'll be the first to say that unlike their Americanized brethren (I'm talking to you Dwightass nigga) FOB spanish americans are the fucking nicest and most amazing people you can meet. Just good, hardworking people.

Some are alcoholics, and some cause problems but they are rare. The vast majority of them are funny, smart and nice muthafukaz. I'd hang out with them ANYDAY rather than a black, americanized brown, yellow or white. Even when they are being mean to you it's still with a light touch. Show them respect and they'll show it back.

Except for cubans :) lol

Oh noes. The dish washers at the Mexican restaurant I go to all the time won't be deported now. They'll just keep cleaning those dishes and paying taxes. Scum.

Pandering to the hispanics during an election year? Fuck you Obama and big business for turning Southern California into a third world cesspool. It's been proven over and over that illegal aliens use more tax subsidized services than what they pay in taxes. They are a net loss and simply do not want to assimilate as almost every other immigrant group has. How can you have a a UNITED states with a large percentage of it's population refusing to learn the language. The Mexican culture simply does not value education and this is especially true for the poorer illegal aliens. They value large broods aka democrat votes. Keep dismissing this as a joke as your neighborhoods start to decline and look like shit holes.

These are the last days of Rome

1. Go fuck yourself.
2. You can't show me ONE legitimate source that says illegals use more tax subsidies than the average slum-dwelling lower income household does. and guess what, they don't get tax refunds or they WILL get deported.
3. How are hard working, law abiding people a net loss? Replace everyone in America with a nation of people that are eager to maintain peace and stability and good god this country would be an amazing one.
4. Yeah it's not that hard to learn a language. Get back to me when you learn spanish. ¡lagarta!

Real latin-americans are coolass niggas. I'll defend them without hesitation. And no I don't have a single drop of anything but hood-negro in me.

Good to see Pewep you are starting off the debate with some healthy people skills.

The $113 billion in outlays for services and benefits to illegal aliens and their families represents an average cost to native-headed households of $1,117 a year. Because the burdens of illegal immigration are not evenly distributed, the costs are much higher in states with large illegal alien populations.
* Education for the children of illegal aliens represents the single largest public expenditure at an annual cost of $52 billion. Nearly all of that cost is absorbed by state and local governments.
* The federal government recoups about one-third of its share of the costs of illegal immigration in the form of taxes collected. States, which bear a much greater share of the costs, recoup a mere 5 percent of their expenditures from taxes paid by illegal aliens.
* Granting amnesty to illegal aliens, as President Obama and others propose, would not significantly increase tax revenues generated by current illegal aliens. However, over time, amnesty would dramatically increase public costs as newly-legalized aliens become eligible for all means-tested government programs.
* Arizona’s annual cost of illegal immigration is $2.5 billion.

You really think that a large percentage of illegals pay their taxes? It's primarily a cash based society.

Sorry but illegal aliens commit a higher percentage of crime than Americans. I do respect the worth ethic of illegals however that doesn't justify breaking laws to get here.

Open a history book before opening your mouth. A nation without a unifying language always leads to it's decline. Oh and I agree it's not that hard to learn a language so thanks for making the argument for me.

Sorry but shouldn't these people you refer to as latin-americans simply be called Americans. A hyphenated American is not an American but just another way to demonstrate a division amongst Americans. Should whites be called european-americans? Let's be honest here and realize that the illegal aliens that come here are here only for economic reasons and not because they identify with American culture and values.

Some Filipinos with U.S. citizen relatives that applied to enter legally in early 1989 are just now having their paperwork processed according to the latest visa bulletin, while people that break the law are being rewarded with work permits instead of deportation.

D'oh! The Irony...

So would you ask him to take back this executive order today or let it stand? :485:

I didn't choose to come to the US. I came as a child. Haven't been able to drink, work, drive, fly, vote, travel out of the country, run for office legally for my entire adult life. I still pay taxes and I don't have as much as a traffic ticket on my record.

My brother hung himself (sort of) 13 months ago, aged 21 after he decided he couldn't take it anymore. Based on 15 years experience and 25k in lawyers fees I can say the system is broken. I didn't have a single pathway to legalization besides a green card marriage.

Feels like I just got outta prison. For a crime I didn't commit. While Bieber walks free. So I'd take the executive order. Tastes like justice bro.

I'll steal your jobs and collect your social security benefits starting Monday morning 11 am.

Imagine if I live on a farm and my neighbor forces me to give stuff to anybody that can make it to just outside my farmland. Would the best solution be to beg my neighbor to make it so nobody can get near my property?

That "solution" also involves the neighbor forcibly restricting freedoms, and it wouldn't be needed if the neighbor let everyone alone to begin with.

"In the contemporary world of immigration politics, property rights and the freedom of association are trumped by the omnipotent State. Is the State some sort of god before whom we must plead to recognize us as "official" persons? After all, that is the crux of the immigration question — must the individuals coming to America have the sanction of the State?

As the State continues to lose legitimacy in the eyes of so many in the liberty movement, one wonders why many of these same folks still demand that individuals who peacefully come to this country seek the State's approval above all else. After all, it is the State that determines who is "legal" and "illegal."

Property Rights, Liberty, and Immigration by Glenn Jacobs

The $113 billion in outlays for services and benefits

This is an estimate from the Federation for American Immigration Reform. They or anyone else haven't "proven" anything, as nobody has a way of knowing the exact number of illegal immigrants or the amounts spent towards them.

The numbers could technically be higher, but I'll point out that FAIR also claims that Alaska (total population 730,000) spends $139 million a year on illegal immigrants.

I'm sure Alaska has some illegals, but um...

Well, then I'll be happy for your newfound freedom; freedom is afterall the good thing we are all after... But having it be by the single stroke of a facists' pen like that means it's temporary... Or at least the law will be temporary; they'll likely let those like yourself who have already been 'pardoned' stay legal when they undo the law.

So congrats; now live with the guilt.

Edit: Just in time for me to flee this hellhole for asia though... Lulz. ;)

@Moxie: Could those illegals be Canadian, by chance?
