it wasnt out of proportion, he wants to tax the business owner more, to give money to the worker.
If you want to make more money, start your own business... dont expect the gov to tax those making more and then give it to you.

When they pulled some lines out, it makes it a sharper attack on obama.... yes fox news does not support obama. But in the end, he said he wants to tax to give to others that work as hard and are as smart.
It goes beyond work and being smart... when you start a business you also risk your own money....(or investor(s) money or a mix)
(yes i know of the bail outs etc... but most businesses dont get to go to the fed)

Meh, the whole "you didn't build that" is just icing on the cake. If you watch the clip he also makes fun of business owners as they aren't smarter or work harder than the non business owners. He's trying to make a case about how big government is good for business owners. Big government build roads, infrastructures, the internet, etc.. is his point. Big government gives you ways to do business... except Obamas big government has sucked it up, which is why Obamas attempts to quell the message hasn't work and even put himself back on the defensive. What Obama omits is that the government can stop you from doing business as well.
So even if you take that out, it's still a speech against business owners.
Lets take all your money and build a 3 by 3 feet cell just for you. Youre going to use it a lot so why be mad?

Besides Rand and Ron Paul (who Fox News isn't a big fan of) and a few others, the majority of Republican politicians only differ in single digit percentage points with Obama in relation to what they think tax rates should be for the rich.
Someone who favors a 33% tax rate is not the polar opposite of someone who favors 39%. Fox News is not using selective video editing to make a statement about taxes being bad, they are just pushing their false 100% left vs. 100% right political narrative.
If Fox News was really serious about opposing things like taxes and the national debt, then Ron Paul would be the hero of the channel. Instead they worship a dead guy (Reagan) who supported higher tax rates than we have now and who ran the debt up to record levels.
So Jon Stewart is twisting this the way HE needs it. I've watched the entire speech and if you put it in context it comes out even worse. Yes, liberals are twisting this to say he was talking about the 'Roads and Bridges' and the place government and municipalities play.
The whole speech was that without government and others business owners could not succeed. Remember that whole line about other folks being really smart? The line right after that about folks working really hard?
