Divorce rate should be higher in theory. Plenty of people in that 50% are together in a shit marriage because of the kids, financial reasons, or don't want to face the realization that their marriage failed.

Undoubtedly there are women, and men, who will remain faithful no matter the situation of the marriage (violent, sexless, etc.) if only because they feel it is the right thing to do, or simply to uphold their wedding vows. This is the minority, undoubtedly, because it is an extreme end of noticeable human nature.
For the majority of men and women, they will break social norms once, twice, etc. if they feel they can get away with it: be it from fulfillment issues, the thrill, whatever. It's a deeply ingrained part of human nature to test limits or fill a craving if their current supply of something is found wanting.

I will say this. Personal pride and moral is much less of a factor than emotion when a woman makes a decision. Women don't really get the idea of a fair fight or why it's important. Women are much more easily influenced by their surroundings than men, so it's very important to research which friends she has and what her parents were like, most importantly how did they raise her, because these things will influence her for the rest of her life.
Most young guys who get married just think with their dick anyways and confuse lust for love, that's why these marriages fuck up. How can you love someone and not know their character? That is because you are attracted to a fantasy you make up yourself. All the better reason not to get married until you have some experience.
I am the first person in line to make fun of the fairer sex (it's great fodder for chuckles), but saying the entire gender sucks is silly. It's like saying all blacks steal, all whites are racist, or all Asians drive like retards.
There are awesome women out there. Many of them make great partners, in business and in marriage. As when dealing with anybody, the key is to discriminate. Do your due diligence, protect yourself, and only move forward if there's a good reason to do so.
